Dude, just ignore us. Then ignore the next batch who gets scheduled.

Click on the username, option in middle is IGNORE.

As production picks up, you’ll see a lot more of these.

P.S. As far as John goes…what if he’s like the Wizard of Oz, and not really all powerful and all knowing?
Y’all are the ones bitching that he has been silent on this thread for over a month. Just sayin

Look, I’ll start. I am about to ignore you (fair warning) so as not to engage should you choose NOT to ignore me. Fair enough? And…PRESTO!

There's a 10/31 build week thread that's quite informative and slightly less grouchy. A lot of them are shipping by rail though to points unknown. Those jerks need to make their own separate thread I tell ya.

In fairness I get the grumble about non-relevant-to-everyone info. But it's a 330+ page thread at this point and we've gotta do something to have some fun and connection to each other 2 years into this boondoggle. I think a lot of us in the 'close to getting our damn truck' boat are just excited about anything that's slightly news worthy, even if it isn't applicable to the broader SAC group.

And that’s cool. I’m excited for y’all. I am. And I want to see your builds when they show up but I feel like every time I get a notification now for this thread it’s the same 4 people bitching that their build date or ship date has changed once again (“damn you Ford! Can’t you even get a tracker right?!” - I’m obviously paraphrasing here)

So for now, I’ve ignored the chode above and unwatched this thread. Eventually I’ll get my build date any way so no need to follow along.

✌

That’s what happens when you have a combined waiting room for both the Delivery Room and the Fertility Clinic…a couple excited parents-to-be, and some really irritated folks stuck in the “Trying” portal, praying for a consultation with Dr. Holstein.

Sorry, I guess that should be in a new SAC sub thread for “Metaphors”.

Not sure if it's already been mentioned, but I got an email from John last week saying that he's currently out recovering from a surgery. So that's why he hasn't posted anything here in a while. Just figured I'd share that in case others are wondering why he's gone radio silent.

Too bad no one else from SAC got on here to let us know before people were left to form their own assumptions for 2 months. Hope he recovers soon.
Havent seen a build thread for 1/23/23 yet but not sure i want to join it.
Look at the 1/24/22 build thread, still going on a year later

My thinking is, it's pretty rare that an employee from a dealership would actively engage customers on an internet forum. And I'm sure that's something John took on uniquely for SAC. So it's not surprising that no one else over there would post here. They wouldn't know where to begin!

I appreciate how transparent / forthright John and everyone else I've talked to at SAC has been. I talked to Ray the other day, and I think I spoke with a Jeremy a while back.

If you're looking for info specific to your build/tracker, just give them a call. There are definitely other folks over there filling in for John while he's out.

This is the first I've ever seen a dealership employee communicate with order holders on the Internet.

I factory ordered a car for the first time in 1998, and have ordered from VW, MINI (twice), BMW, Toyota (three times), FIAT, and Jeep (twice). So this is the ELEVENTH vehicle I have factory ordered.

My past experience with dealers has been, "We don't really have any information - we'll call you when it arrives."

The random date generator just went back to a January delivery estimate... What an incompetent joke Ford has become.

its interesting that it updates so frequently. Something as simple as an operator misplacing a tool, an assembly robot breaking down or losing its rev counters, an operator getting a finger lopped off, a plant wide announcement, or a pizza party can delay the production line and push orders back.
Ford should probably just update the ETA windows once weekly.

When I worked at the cucumber processing plant I got fired for sticking my finger in the pickle slicer... She got fired too.

My vehicle was built a couple weeks ago so it's sitting somewhere. I'm being charged 1500 to move it 4 hours away. This kind of money I want it now. I'm sure someone with a flat bed would take that load.

Yeah I mean I think at this point it's all automated - the date gets to 'x' of the given ETA range, truck hasn't shipped, so it kicks it back to some set of dates a few weeks later, but then something else boots it back to an earlier set of dates again. So based on trends, those handfuls of us in this pickle will see our ETA flip back to 12/20-12/28 or 12/21/-12/29, or something like that in the next day or two. Which also explains why Ford chat has no clue, cause there aren't concrete reasons the dates flip flop around so much.
