I find it odd but if you use the heated seats, and turn the vehicle off with the seats on, when you restart the seats are on. This is true even a day later. I have never had a Ford or any other car or truck, were the heated seats would come back on when you restarted the vehicle the next day.

Is this normal?

Yeah that's how they work. I never understood it either. The worst part is, it works like that on the passenger side. Had a passenger that used them. Two days later I notice that little red light on.

Thats how I figured it out. I had not used the drivers. But afterwards did some checking with it.

It’s a feature, the heated steering wheel does it too. I think there’s a temperature threshold it has to be below for them to turn back on.

Now I might be wrong but I notice the seats were on when I used the app to remote start it on a cold morning. I know for a fact I did not have them on prior. Later in the day when I did the remote start they were not on. Is it actually using the ambient temperature reading to do this as well?

Most of my vehicles do/did this. so I thought it was completely normal

I believe there is an adjustment when using remote start feature which either defaults to last adjustment used or automatically adjusts to ambient temperature.

MY 15 Fusion does not do this, however if remote started with the App (pre 3g shutdown) you could set the threshold for heating or cooling (seats too) based on ambient temps. But as far as staying on after a shut off now - this was not the case in 2015 models...mine have to be turned on every time.

You can deactivate the heated seats/wheel in the settings screen of setup. It's in the auto start menu I believe. I did this once it got warm. Now that it's cooling off, I've re-activated it.

We my last Ford Truck was a 2017. You had to turn heat on every time you started the truck. Even if it was only off a few minutes.

I have never had a Vehicle do this, not wife's Range Rover, my Ford truck, my Corvette, or wife's new Jeep.

I was not referring to using the Remote. Talking about shutting Raptor off with seats on. Next day getting in and starting and the seats and steering wheel come on.

Yes, if below a certain temperature and you start the truck with the App, the heated seats come on. My F-150 did that also

My 2007 Avalanche turned them on automatically if the temp was below 55*. turned on seats, steering wheel, rear defrost and turned on front defrost. My 2016 GMC Canyon All Terrain also did this. Their system goes by temperature if you use remote start. If you don't they are off when you used the key. They both would automatically turn the A/C on if the temp was above 70*
