2.3 or 2.7? How does it feel with the 4.46 gears and 37s? That is the setup I am planning
2.3 - I have the Ford Procal 4 tune installed. It feels great. I also have a 16' 2 door Rubicon with 5.13's and the bronco is definitely quicker. I haven't had it off road yet, still have a few small details to complete.

Nice look, towing that trailer with it? What's the weight? How's the pulling with the 2.3? Thanks
The weight of the trailer is 1451lb dry, when I fill it up it probably gets up to 1800lbs give or take. It pulls great!!!

I agree! Looks about perfect. Love the Bronco on the fender. The whole "retro" stuff has gone too far for me. This is nice and clean. What size tires??

Ranger tows 7,000 pounds with the 2.3 without any issues, plus an extra 1,000 of payload in the bed/cab, that should be all you need to know for how the Bronco is somehow magically able to tow 3,500 lbs while being cursed with the unable-to-tow-anything 2.3 engine.

Suspension matters. My 2.3L Ranger can pull twice what my 2-door Bronco can because of the suspension setup. Safety matters for stopping and control on the road.

Ah, but the question, as usual on B6g, was the Bronco's ability to tow with the 2.3 not the ability to tow as a whole.

These questions (and the stubborn American myth that a smaller displacement engine is incapable of towing if a larger displacement engine is an option), are pretty hilarious.

For those converting units at home:

2.3 liters = 140.3 cubic inches
2.7 liters = 164.7 cubic inches

AKA: Bronco has only small-displacement engines and both are massively capable of towing the 3,500 lb weight limit with stock suspension.

I'm not interested in the Ranger but - I get you have the 2.3. Probably stiffer suspension in the Ranger than Badlands. Each has its own purpose. I had a 1985 2dr Ranger. Now I have the 2dr Badlands w/2.7. I'll probably stick with a roof top tent for now, maybe an offroad trailer in a few years.
