Did the dodge engines have the same cooling issues that wj's did? Might only affect the HO models dropping valves or blowing gaskets.
Only issue with the truck ever was rust from the road salt in northern NY. Engine and transmission (5spd manual) were trouble free.

Same boat as many of you. I’m at the BD for the seats and floor. I can live happily with the BD and no other options or packages, although I am hoping for a few a la carte options.

Would have been an easier decision if the manual and squatch were an option, then it would have been a base MT squatch.

Still not 100% on the BD, just depends what can be done once the B&P is live vs. what I will do aftermarket.

I guess I might be the only one this naive, but aren't the Mid, High, and Lux Packages, just that: Packages? Meaning they bundled together a bunch of options and offer them at a discount through a Package, but buyers can bypass the Package route and order options a la carte?

Sure, the Base doesn't qualify for the Lux Package, but couldn't a buyer still order, separately, an item that is featured in the Lux Package? (Wouldn't it benefit Ford to sell buyers the 12" screen as an option, even if it would run $500+?)
Unfortunately, usually not. They do not offer most things a la carte, you have to buy the package to get what you want (and usually a few things you do not want). Unless Ford does something different than they currently do on any other vehicle, no, a base will not be able to order some specific option from the "Lux" package, that option simply will not be available at all on a base trim level. That is how they get people to move up to a higher trim level. Otherwise, people would just buy base with the specific options they want and ultimately would spend thousands less.

At least the packages are the same across trim levels (even though not all packages are available for every trim level). With F150's, the packages differ depending on what trim level you get. For example, an XLT can have 300a, 301a or 302a but a Lariat can have 500a, 501a or 502a and 302a and 502a are not the same options (because the lariat comes with most of the 302a options by default but it also costs more than the XLT +302a...and it also "unlocks" other options that are not available on the XLT at all).
i’ll be honest here I understand that they want to come and include other things in certain packages to monopolize them and make more money I get that and it is what it is it’s corporate greed at its finest, but if you’re willing to pay the extra money for extra things why would you not offer that?? #ignorant

I live in Phoenix and am old enough to have owned a vinyl seated convertible.

The 2 door BD and a baseSquatch with the advanced TC are about the same price, but the BD's seats are huge turn off for me.
I remember the vinyl seats on 60s and 70s vehicles. Burnt my legs more than a few times, and none of those had A/C either. These vinyl seats are nothing like that at all.

I know they are " better" .
A few of my companies Ford work trucks have grey vinyl seats.
They are still not fun in the Arizona sun compared to the black cloth ones.

They could do much better but let’s be honest they’re probably watching threads like hawks to see what we like and don’t like so hopefully when B&P comes along we CAN get what we want but hey maybe in a “perfect” world ?

I feel Exactly like you and I will most likely upgrade from BD to BadLands for same reasons. At this point I just have to be comfortable that this thing is going to cost me north of 50K. To me it's worth it. I've never had the vehicle I wanted so I am going almost all out

I don’t know if anyone has discussed this yet, but what are our expectations for the increased rake due to the steel bumper up front? Or will it just be negligible?

I’m still kinda sore about Ford offering Rubber floors and Vinyl seats as an upgrade?!?!?!?! On every other truck that is base model stuff but NOOOO the bronco it is considered a premium for some stupid reason. Ok I feel better now. Rant over?
Exactly!

Ford removed the body color painted hard top on the Black Diamond.
If it is not an option I might have to give up on the Bronco.
That pisses me off, I hate the stupid grey Ht
And I don’t wanna jump up to the BL

I have a 45k budget and BL would kill that

This is why I’m like ok the model scale were right in the middle with the BD why do I have to go up two more models to get what I want?!

Step 1: Ford remove head from ass
Step 2: Listen to your buyers to make more money.
Step 3: Everyone happy!!! (Even tho I’m broke now ??)

It's a mix of factors. Profit is definitely one of them, but if they offered everything on a menu, costs would go up significantly. More machine changeovers, more labor, less accurate forecasting, and incredibly difficult inventory management would all increase costs. It would be a logistical nightmare. Just look at how much b!itch!ng already exists about the pricing. If it was all on a menu, you'd be appalled at how much each item would cost.

They saw your petition man and were like "GordoJones? F that petition guy, take the top off the BD. Wait til he sees it".

Is it available for the 2 door on any trim though? Cuz it's still there for the 4 door.
