I do not have a previous order in, so have a deposit for a new 23 order. Dealer cannot give me any info on timeline, as they seem to be pretty out of the loop.
Does anyone have any ideas on when Ford will be accepting new orders, and for those who have been waiting for months/years, what are the odds of getting a 23 model year Bronco? Thanks for any incite.
BTW, I know its all speculative at this point, and understand that. Just looking for some more opinions on the process than my dealer can give me.

I think Nov 21st is the last day for dealers to convert all reservations and MY22 orders to MY23. So it will be at least after Nov21st. My uneducated guess is the first of December and it will not be a long window. Im talking a week at most.

From the Ford FAQ that nobody reads:

Ford Bronco New 2023 order question... 1665582326056

Best case scenario for new walk-in orders is late 4th quarter. Odds of getting a MY23 all depend on your build, constraints at any given time and, most importantly, how many allocations your dealer has.

Were you able to place a reservation? I did so for a MY2023 on 9/19. This is for a new order.

Please explain. The reservation system for the Bronco has been closed since August 2021. Do you mean you just submitted a pre-order to your dealer or perhaps got on their walk-in order list for when the order banks eventually open back up to the public? Do you have an order or "reservation" number or required to put any money down?

Put a deposit down, and reservation to order back in August. never did receive an email from Ford tho, but my rep said many of his customers have not received an email either, so did not think much of it.

I had planned on purchasing a Bronco for my son for his bday next year. However, an opportunity to buy a Jeep 392 just came up, so thinking about just giving my son our JLUR, and buying the 392. Real world problems, I know, but I don't like being completely in the dark on the bronco.

This is how I understood it, deposit with a "reservation" to order when ordering opens up. Nothing concrete tho. Again, my dealer doesn't even know yet how many allocations they will have. They sold around 30 2022 models, and from what i am told, all of their customers received theirs, and I do not have anyone in front of me for a 23 model.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is no way you put in a first time new order for a Bronco.
Your dealer might have said you did, may have taken your money, but the system won't even allow it at this time. So all you really have , at best, is a dealer's word, telling you that they will put you in the system when they can .

I had been emailing the salesperson. She told me that she was going to send me a time stamped reservation and as soon as one comes in or when the order banks open, she will call me and convert my reservation into an order. I then received an email that says, " Thank you for your reservation for a Ford Bronco. We at Sarasota Ford are excited to be the Ford Dealership selected to complete your request. Your reservation is being monitored here and we will update you with information as it becomes available. When the order bank opens, your Product Specialist will contact you to complete the order process. "

I said reservation, not order.

Yeah, sounds like your dealer just cobbled together an email to send out and you are just on their internal wait list. You don't have a reservation for a Bronco through Ford. The Bronco reservation system has been closed for well over a year.

Same goes for you. As stated, reservations have been closed for over a year. Order banks have been closed to the public sine March. The reason you didn't get an email from Ford is because your dealer never placed an order, because they couldn't.

This is a classic "My dealer said" and applies to the both of you. All your dealer did was place your build sheet in a file and put your name on a list to call back when the order banks eventually open for walk-ins.

A reservation with the dealer will be put in as an order with Ford when the order banks open up. Until then it just sits with the dealer. When the order is placed, you'll get an email from Ford saying thanks for the order, blah blah. Order banks for Ford will open in Q4 22 or Q1 23. As mentioned before it all (or 85%) depends on dealer allocation and where you stand in line. Constraints matter only after you are first in line with the dealer to be built. Random guessing on forums believe there are ~ 80k orders still pending to be built (not reservations with a dealer, but order in with Ford). That is close to an entire year of builds. If you are with Granger which has some 300 Broncos on order, you are looking at MY24, maybe 25. Outside of Granger or perhaps count on one hand, no dealers are telling you where you are in line. That is the part that matters, dealer allocation. I've seen posts where people get them in 6 months for a low end build (base) or 9 months for a high end (Badlands/Wildtrack). If you are planning on placing a reservation, talk with the sale mgr and see if you can find out where you are in line and rough estimation on allocation. That will give you the most accurate info on when you could get one, but we all know dealers are salesmen and want your order.. so getting the truth will be hard.

Works for me!

It's things like this that made me glad I lurked on Bronco 6G forums for months. Waiting can be bearable if you manage expectations. Being told you have a reservation when you don't is slimy sales tactics and will only lead to a poor experience.

I echo the allocation comments above. I feel that is why my 8/10/2021 reservation that I converted to an order on 9/30/22 was already scheduled (got scheduled email on 10/6/2022) I have a high trim with WT, Lux, Tow, leather. I've heard plenty of people waiting a year plus for lesser builds. I imagine it's primarily because they are in a longer line due to choosing a bigger dealer because they get more allocations.

OP says that reservations have been closed for well over a year. I guess that's why this is a forum. Everyone has different info and shares it as if it is fact... when none of us really know.
