10/31/2022 build week group

Using the VIN decoder, there are people in this thread with MY22 and MY23 Broncos all scheduled for the week of 10/31.

So as we know it at this moment, there is a blended model year scheduled for build week 10/31 which falls into just one model year.

Especially since the '23 Wildtrack includes the HOSS 3.0 and the '22 didn't.

I know the first part, I have P in my VIN. Why do you think an entire build week has to be scheduled to one model year? I said there is a day cutover hence the mix for the build week. What argument are you making?

It's not possible to switch over the line and perform the required maintenance/service on the machines along the line within a week.
This is the primary cause of there being 7-10 working days break between model years on the same line.

I got bumped from 10/17. Chatted with Ford this week, build date of 10/31. I'm super curious if we'll see some '23 parts and options come into our builds. I've heard of some car makers where this happens especially if the run out of prior year parts right near cutover.

Unless your initial order was early enough to still qualify for price protection.

This late in the process, and seeing some folks like myself at 800+ days of waiting, with price protection I wouldn't care if a 2022 or 2023 (not CO paint).

Back when user Legend was on here in the glory days of the early reservation period he had indicated that the MY change-ver period was also the scheduled maintenance for all the robots snd machines which can't have downtime during the year, or upgrades to that hardware.

No, they won't have to re-configure the line unless the line workers developed assembly improvements so that saves many days, but the mandatory servicing/maintenance must be done.

So strange that people's VIn's for 10/31 week production have a blended model year. Have never heard of that happening before!

I dont think they are drawing robots baths if there is no downtime given they are producing 22s and 23s in the same week.

Well...after having a build day "locked in" by Ford at noon yesterday I got the bump to 10/31 today. Wish I had waited for a 23 now.

I tried but I keep getting a error message. Just weird that the 23s have build dates and my 22 doesn't

fyi a birdie told me there has been some idle time at MAP so my new guess is MY23 is gonna start 2 weeks later to finish up MY22s....

My 2023 just got pushed back from 11/7 to 11/14 this morning. I’m guessing there will be lots more delays, it’s just the way it is with a Bronco.
