I have a 10/31 production date as well for a 2022. It's kind of BS mine will be a 2022 when its literally going to be rolling into production with the 2023s. I'm ecstatic to have a build date but this doesn't seem right.
One way to look at it is you'll be on the low end of mileage for your model year. That's why I always liked getting a leftover off the lot!

I can't see the silver lining to having a year old 2022 Bronco built the same day a 2023 Bronco build date. It's BS especially when you have waited from 7/13/2020. I would have waited another week to have a 2023.

I can only imagine the frustration of being a day 1 reserver without your Bronco. I like that I'll have a 2022 with a year of no miles, if that makes sense. Other than it being a 3 at the end of the model year instead of a 2, I don't see an upside.

The 2023 build tracker showed Friday, Nov 4 as the first day of 2023 production. So we really are the last of the 22s then.

One of us will have the very last Cyber Orange Bronco ever made. Might be a cool marker to follow the particular truck over its lifetime. 🤞

Brave soul. I learned from past cars to wait until I have the truck in hand. I did cave when I saw the OEM roof lightbar for half off in the classifieds though.
I’m in the race for the last 2DR CO Badlands myself, definitely be interesting to know who “wins” 😂

The main upside to getting a 22 at this point imho is that when I built and priced a 23 it comes in about $2000.00 more than my 22 badlands Sasquatch lux 2 door I was a november 21 order/ july reservation so no price protection.

I would rather have a late MY22 because as Ford does Ford, looks like its costing me another $5k.

I'm also OK with getting a late '22 because Ford didn't make any meaningful product improvements for '23. So I'm getting it sooner, I'm paying less, and I'm not really missing out on anything.

Unless your initial order was early enough to still qualify for price protection.

This late in the process, and seeing some folks like myself at 800+ days of waiting, with price protection I wouldn't care if a 2022 or 2023 (not CO paint).

Back when user Legend was on here in the glory days of the early reservation period he had indicated that the MY change-ver period was also the scheduled maintenance for all the robots snd machines which can't have downtime during the year, or upgrades to that hardware.

No, they won't have to re-configure the line unless the line workers developed assembly improvements so that saves many days, but the mandatory servicing/maintenance must be done.

So strange that people's VIn's for 10/31 week production have a blended model year. Have never heard of that happening before!

My gut says the transition day is Friday 11/4 last day of the work week to start MY23 based on other info.

I have price protection, but I am happy to get my Bronco and there will be less 2022 2DRs out there.

Then what the heck is Ford's plan for the 10/31 week folks with MY23 VIN'S?

Do those just get auto-pushed back into the actual first week of MY23 but they used the 10/31 placeholder? That 7th speaker has to come in somewhere! :ROFLMAO:

From my non-insider understanding is that the delineation between model year production is actually quite strict as NHTSA regs change every year and there are dozens of little tiny design changes required to comply with whatever witch craft has been baked into the MY23 regs.

maybe I missed what your saying but 10/31 is a Monday, MY22s run up until Thursday 11/3. 11/4 they start MY23 hence why we have people scheduled to build week for both.

I do have my VIN as well and based on the VIN decoder, mine is a '23 (P in position 10).
So, it looks like they might be starting '23 production a week early maybe.

Using the VIN decoder, there are people in this thread with MY22 and MY23 Broncos all scheduled for the week of 10/31.

So as we know it at this moment, there is a blended model year scheduled for build week 10/31 which falls into just one model year.
