People seem to have a reason to hate basically every trim package except base ? personally mid is more than I need but everything I want. I might end up downgrading to a big bend with mid package and add the auto/ecobutt engine and maybe add the rear bumper. I keep leaning to the aftermarket being much cheaper than ford but we’ll see
Definitely don't blame Mid (has LOT of options for low price) and High (Huge screen, 360 cameras (so no spotter required on a lot of trails), forward sensing (radar) (so emergency brake), extra sound deadening (it is expensive by itself), built-in spotlights - a lot of goodies for only 1200$). While Lux offers meh options (besides sound and ACC) for 2x price - I don't understand that.

I will be adding cooled seats to the wife’s badsquatch. Both of our vehicles now have them and they're well worth it, just like the heated steering wheel for winters. There is no way she's going to buy a $60k bronco and give up comforts she’s had 3yrs in her grand cherokee and my ford truck. Which is why I’ll be iNstalling the cooled seats after purchase. Only thing that would stop me is if they installed a seat sensor in the area needed to modify.

This thread reminded though, her GC has the ACC and I continually forget it has it which means she’s never used it. She also has the self park thing, again she hasn't used it. Used both today but not worth it to me.

sounds to me like she’ll be getting the high package and its really only the audio system, garage opener and heated steering wheel as to why the lux. Jeep offers a cold climate package that provides remote start, heated steering wheel. Ford even offers wiper deicers in their super duty trucks. The only complaint I have on my f150 during winter is the amount of ice that collects on my wipers while driving.

Also that whole forward collision warning, not sure on the size of the object needed but I will say, it doesn't do jack squat for a buck who runs onto the road and you’re traveling 50mph. Ask me how I know.

Cooled seats by who and pricing?

Thankfully no one (My wife & I and the 2 dogs) in my wife’s grand cherokee were hurt . I truly felt bad for the deer (neither the deputy or I could find it afterwards) and to this day I can still see it perfectly in my head after literally watching the deer somersault and got launched across the country highway road after darting onto the road from the right at full speed. After being dazed he got up and ran away onto private property. It was either hit the buck or put the suv into a bunch of aspen trees. Obviously the suv is meant to stop you in case you’re about to rear end someone not deal with objects coming from right or left. $13k of damage all front end bumper, headlight and driver fender.

You lost me with this because I haven't seen it mentioned into any package. Which one?

Never going backwards without ACC. To me, basic cruise control is like 50% of the functionality of ACC. It only controls the accelerator, and not the brakes.

After being accustomed to basic cruise control, ever take a car without any cruise control on a long trip? It's incredibly annoying...After driving a car long term with ACC going back to basic cruise feels almost as annoying.

For me, ACC is way up the list for driving comfort features.

Yea, I've been there. Less damage to my GMC Envoy, hit dead center in the grille...killed the deer though...

I agree about not losing creature comforts once you have them, but it also made me realize that I don't use the cruise in any of our 3 vehicles as I find me controlling the throttle keeps me alert and involved on the road. And I absolutely hate the lane keeping systems in vehicles which is why I deactivate it when I get in and start driving.

So for 2300$ from High to Lux they offer us:
1) "2 additional front row smart-charging USB ports" - 10$ car charger on Amazon
2) "Wireless charging pad" - wireless car charger - 35$ on Amazon
3) "Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System" - built-in in Android Auto/Apple Carplay - free
4) Heated steering wheel - OK (how often is it used?)
5) "Evasive Steering Assist" - you need to start maneuvering by yourself, why not finish by yourself? but OK.
6) "B&O Sound System with 10 speakers including a subwoofer" - OK
7) "Adaptive Cruise Control" - this is the only feature I really need.
8) "Universal garage door opener" - OK, but device which can open any garage door costs 150$

Then, funny fact - necessary hardware for "Adaptive Cruise Control" and "Evasive Steering Assist" is already included in lower trims! (radar + camera). This is only software-activated feature.
I really hope "Adaptive Cruise Control" will be available ala carte.

So for 2300$ we have in reality:
Subwoofer, heated wheel, 200$ accessories from Amazon and few software-activated features. Really??

What's your thoughts?
Well, the fact is this, if you have 60k to shell out on a vehicle, why not get everything.

i have adaptive cruise control currently. It’s nice, but I find sometimes I am not paying attention to the Speedo and look down and I’m going 50 in a 65 because it’s pacing with someone ahead of me. I like it, but not sure I’m going to miss it.
