Seems to soon to lock in a buying price if Ford has yet to release the details on 2023 price protection unless you have a dealer willing to amend the PO after the details are released. Maybe Im over thinking this but Im most concerned about getting my updated order into Ford so my early res status isnt negated due to supply constraints becuase I was waiting to find out what my final price is going to be.
You aren't really negotiating on final price but more so getting them to agree to not tack on ADM's or unwanted dealer add-on's. Unless you are tight with your dealer the below MSRP or invoice ship sailed years ago. You more so want them to agree to MSRP and agree to honor all available pricing protections and rebates.

Im so glad my dealer has their shit together. Theyve been very proactive and have been communicating with me almost every week. Today they switched me over to a 23
I just wonder when I see posts like this....What is there to communicate every week?

I posted some of this in another thread but felt it was worthy of its own thread to bring it to people’s attention. I know too many have been through this process before but a lot of it bears repeating and it will be helpful to some of our newer members.

Several have posted that their dealer said (I know, drink) that their order has been converted and there is nothing else the buyer needs to do. While that is not entirely false, it is not accurate either. The buyer should be proactive and request their order Preview Order sheet (commonly referred to on the forum as a DORA). Confirm that your options are indeed correct, and the proper Priority Code has been assigned (code 10 – 19). If your code shows as a 99 then you will not be eligible for scheduling. If your order remains a Priority Code 99 it will be deleted after Nov 21st. Don’t wait on your dealer to call or email you.

Read, and re-read, the updated Ford FAQ to further educate yourself on the ordering process and price protection. Ford has stated, but not yet detailed, that there will be a level of price protection for those switching to a Heritage Edition or converted to a WT 3.0. As of this posting not all information is available, but it is apparent that Ford will be honoring and adjusting the price protection program. Be proactive and educate yourself, don’t rely on everyone here to answer your questions and certainly don’t rely on your dealer or Ford Customer Service to give you accurate information.

Also, remind your salesperson about COVP (Fords process to verify the buyer is legitimate). Some dealerships do not appear to be very proactive about this step. Let your salesrep know you will be sending them a photocopy of your drivers license upon order confirmation so they can verify your order and complete the COVP process.

Lastly, take this opportunity to agree on pricing with your dealer. Communicate via email so you have a paper trail. Get a written purchase agreement if possible, or at least have the DORA signed, and be sure to have a sales manager or GM sign the documents as there is no guarantee your salesperson will still be employed when your Bronco arrives. For this step you may have to actually visit the dealership.

The first round of MY23 scheduling is supposed to take place on October 6th (subject to change because this is Ford). I would advise everyone to have the re-order process completed and verified by the end of next week (Friday 9/30). However, do extend your dealer and salesperson a bit of grace as WBDO (Ford’s ordering system) can get overloaded and run slow. Those switching to a Heritage may think they have plenty of time but will want to update and verify their order so they don’t accidently get scheduled. And no, you will not be able to order the Limited Edition Heritage, I don’t care that it is shown on B&P.

There also seems to be some misinformation about MY22 scheduling still floating around (shocking, I know). MY22 scheduling is complete. There will be no more. You need to come to the realization that MY22 is not into you and move on.

And No, if you don’t have an existing order or reservation then you cannot currently order a Bronco. Ford plans to evaluate the amount of orders they have sometime late Q4 and will then make a determination on when to open up the order banks to the public.

If any dealers or insiders have additional information to add please do so. This has been a Public Service Announcement.

Edit. It appears a lot of dealers may not be completing the COVP process. Here are a couple of screen shots from the MY23 playbook stating COVP must be completed and another post detailing the process. HT @Beach_Bum bum and @flip

I'm putting everything back on mine.
Ford - just build it!
At this point, I'm not interested in settling for less either. Besides, I dropped a couple 'constraint items', (Tow and MIC) in March of last year at my dealers urging because he thought it might improve my chances of getting my Bronco built. Well, I had to Re-Order again yesterday, so I put those back on since dropping didn't seem to help one bit.

My dealer excluded rebates but agreed to msrp and pp on my 2022 purchase agreement. I doubt Ford offers any rebates on the Bronco so that was no big deal then nor now. But I had a final price so I will expect the same when all the info is available for 2023.

Your price protection will come in the form of a rebate to the dealer at time of purchase. They will apply it to your total to bring it back to your agreed upon price.

Hi Everyone - I could really use some help here as I really want to get this right.

February 2022 order being converted to 2023.

My dealership sent me an order form for the 2023 and asked me to verify the details and sign it. It has all 2023 pricing on it.

I am going to reply and ask for a signed purchase order agreement acknowledging my 2022 pricing.

Does anything seem off here? They stated they aren’t sure if there will be price protection but it’s clearly laid out on the ford website there will be.

My dealer told me price protection comes in a form a check made out to you 30-90 days after purchase. So new mrsp pricing is correct (so I'm told).

Here is the email I got from my dealer. I feel like they have been very fair and do not over or under communicate. I am not sure what is factual information but seems legit to me. Good example of what I would consider acceptable communication.

"Thank you for your patience while the orders continue. 2022 model year is over and in an effort to speed up 2023 production they are going to clean out any unauthorized orders from the order banks. To do this they require us to convert your 2022 model in to a 2023. Ford will issue a rebate of an unknow dollar amount to reservation holders for continuing forward with their order. We have a time line of 60 days to have these updated orders as well as a copy of the customers drivers license and a signed price agreement form to show they will be sold for msrp - rebate. this process starts on Thursday 09/20/22. Any non completed conversion at the end of the 60 day period will be deleted he lines for the different models shortened. This should stream line production and hopefully speed up deliveries.

I need to know Is the attached bronco what you want? I can make changes right now. If there is something new we can add it. If what I sent is correct please sign it and send me a pic of your drivers license. You can text them to my cell or email your license back to me. I will then send the final form to be signed.

I apologize for any inconvenience these parts shortages are causing but the factory is making every effort to get these built.

Please ask any question you may have. there are still no guaranteed etas on any models. Bronco raptor is sold out for 2023.

Here is the link to the 2023 Build and price. If you dont want changes please email me back no change. If you do want changes let me know what to do."

Wow, this post is priceless. My dealer told me last night that it automatically updated and there was nothing either they or I needed to do. If I had believed them, I would have ended up cancelled. Shit. Show. To. The. MAXXXXXXXXXXXX!
My dealer told me to check this forum for the answers and or process.

no really 😂

I would say that is excellent communication by a dealer with accurate info given and action items expected.
