This is from its last use in April, It seems it hasn't left the plant yet. Or, it could be that CSX the origin carrier, doesn't share all info with the UP, which is my carrier. I should also mention that rail movements are at times private, meaning that if I don't own the product on the car, its movements are none of my business, and smaller amounts of info is all thats available...I'll try it again in the AM as I'm done here at work now...

"Release" from above is when a car is empty and returned to the system, In this case in VA on the Norfolk Southern.

awe.... thats right, your in Cali, I am in NYC, but I ordered it from a dealer in SC. When its shipping EAST of the Mississippi CSX takes it the whole way. It is in transit, scheduled to arrive in SC on 8/19 at 2am according to the 1800 prompt tracker system. Thanks for trying!

There are two major rail companies.

CSX is everything east of the mississippi
UP is everything west of the mississippi

But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in their system they will follow it all the way.

So, how do you track your truck on a railcar?

First and most important. Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we may lose the access and ability to track.

CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say CN (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Union Pacific
1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example CN123456 all together
4. Listen for your update

NS Norfolk Southern
1. Call 800-635-5768
2. Press 2.
3. Press 2.
4. Enter the letters on the numeric keypad then press #. As in: TTGX will be 8849
5. Enter the numbers then press #. It wasn't taking my voice prompts but typing worked.

I figured it out. It’s in Ohio… and is “To FLORIDA” on the 19th… it doesn’t say where I would assume that’s the last stop in Florida. And I’m in Tampa in the middle.. is that accurate to anyone who is aware of this stuff?

About to have a child (any day now) is why I’m trying to estimate a bit more I guess.

Mine is still showing as In Production as of now (8/12). The good thing is that my dealer says he shows my VIN in his inventory and has a 9/1 - 9/8 delivery to them. They need a day or two to put the dealer installed options on and to swap out the stock tires (255/70/18) for a set I will buy (Mickey Thompson 275/70/18 Baja Boss A/T) so I’m thinking I’ll have it by the middle of the month.

Your probably on the same train as all the Florida group , I would think just in different cars. When I called yesterday the train was in Tennessee and would be at the Jax train yard on the 14th. I believe it goes straight to th Miami area before heading north. My wife made the call , the system didn’t like my deep voice

Just perused the May build/blend post. Many of these people are just taking delivery this week.... 2.5 months after their blend date.... My Labor Day target delivery hopes are diminishing....

I’m seeing a range of occasional 2 week build-delivery and most are about 2 months and then on from there. It’s a lottery to get a build and then a lottery to get delivered. There’s nothing you can do about it, so close your eyes and wait or check every day. I’m trying to do the first but am unable to stop myself from doing the latter.

8/4 Blend - I have the modules and tear but still showing "In Production". Reached out to my dealer and he checked on their system but could only confirm it was built and not held up due to a constraint. Said the convoy to our area is usually a two day trip and dropped directly at the dealership -- he is guessing should see it end of Aug/beginning of Sept. He's going to check again Monday to see if anything updates over the weekend. -- Was hoping he would say - scheduled for delivery 08/19 so then I could stop with the status refresh

Reserved Oct of 2020. Blend date 8/2, built 8/5, delivered to dealership this morning. They are going through it and putting my tires and rims on for pickup on Monday! Shout out to Bryden Ford in Durand, Illinois. MSRP and no hassles!

good news is dealer said the vehicles are shipping out directly from Las Vegas and Portland now and bypassing Richmond..

Same, starting to wonder what’s going on.

Mine was delivered to the dealer early today, must have come straight from the factory since today was the first day the tracker showed "shipped." Not bad!

I can't go get it for a few days, but I was able to sit in it and it is sweet. Amazed how quickly this all came together (I ordered in the last hour in March and changed configuration in mid-April, no reservation - sorry!) and I can't wait to pick it up.
