8/29/2022 Build Week Group

Hi!
Received a call from my dealer (2 weeks ago) stating that I have a build week of 08/29 and a VIN. I tried the backdoor link and yes it does come up with my VIN, name, etc. but it doesn't have the scheduled week listed like I see some of them do. Does this mean it isn't really scheduled for 08/29? I called Ford a few days after my dealer called and they confirmed I have a date with that build week. I love my dealer and have zero complaints, but I didn't want to keep bugging them if there isn't anything to bug them about. I guess I don't want to get my hopes up and then find out it really isn't true lol.

The fact that you have a VIN makes it legit. If you're a walk in order, like me, our info won't be updated until the actual date is set and/or it goes into production. Right now, we're 'week of Aug 29...".

Thank you, that makes me less anxious. I was a walk in order. Now I will just sit back and (im)patiently wait for it to be built. Here's hoping to driving it this winter!

As noted, the Backdoor tracker needs a Reservation/Order number. This is the web link:
https://www.ford.com/buy/manage.html?reservationId=xxxxxxxx (where xxx... is your reservation number which converts to your order number.

It is weird on the backdoor tracker. For my Lightning reservation/order, I have a direct link on my Ford account page but on my Bronco order there is not a link attached. I have to input the https address directly.

There are two Ford order tracking web links: To use either of these you will need your VIN and the four digit WBDO order number the dealer assigned. This WBDO number is available in a couple of places on the Preview Order you hopefully have from your dealer:

Canada order tracker web link: (but also works for US bound VINs. If you have an order from Canada then this is the only one that will work.)

I would love to know why some people have to go through the back door link and some don't. I didn't understand the backdoor link forever because for my Bronco on my Ford account I have a direct link that takes me to the "back door" link. I assumed everyone's account was like mine.

If you have a reservation number, using the Backdoor tracker and see you are scheduled for production, then the VIN number can be decoded in the HTML screen using the link I shared above. If you aren't scheduled for production then there won't be a VIN or a build date to decode.

Is it the 4 character WBDO order number? Or the eight character order number that comes from a reservation? (a Bronco example of the eight character number would be something like
10322735). Those of us who made a reservation online got the 8 character reservation number which then turned into the same eight number for our order number.

If you have an eight character number does it show up on your Ford account? If so you could use it open the backdoor tracker.

If it exists but is not linked to to your Ford account then I wonder if you could somehow get Ford Customer Service or your dealer to link them together? I think back in the day if a customer walked into a dealer and wanted to order a Bronco a reservation was still made but was probably never shared with the customer. Those probably never got linked to a customer account. But I would think they could be linked. It would probably be only the most forthcoming of all dealers who would offer that information to customers.

Only the 4 digit order number. I did not have a reservation. And I ordered mid march 2022.
