I’m same build but ordered 3/7/22, last day to order because another dealer ‘lost’ my order. When did you find out the 8/29 date?

Nice! Found out last week on the 27th after randomly checking the backdoor link (and grabbing my VIN). I doubt I'll hear anything from the dealer until it is built.

Did you have a reservation?

Here is a thread link on how to decode the HTML screen from the Backdoor tracker. I put this together for Chrome. There are similar techniques for Firefox and IoS. The Build date plus lots of other fun info including your VIN show up.

Thanks for this info I was able to get my VIN using it. Our original reservation was December 2020 then we had to cancel that and make a new one January 2021 because we decided to upgrade to Badlands. Ordered March 2021. We ended up buying a Big Bend in January because our main car died and it became available, but this order is what we really want.

Seriously super excited about getting a build week. Been watching the previous build week threads like crazy.I wrecked my wrangler in Feb. My mechanic buddy let me use his loaner till May. I've been living life like I got a DUI/DWI riding around a bicycle since. 2 positives to that. 1. I'm way more fit and 2. I haven't bought gas in a few months.

FYI, I know some of you were asking about date bumps.

Started last week with 8/29 build date, by early this week that had been pulled to 8/22, and then this morning shifted out to 9/5.

Doesn't tell us anything specifically, just letting you know that dates are still bouncing around.

Wednesday when I called the marketing line they couldn't find my build and suggested I call the dealership to get the order and status codes. Left a VM at the dealership with no call back yet. Any guesses why Ford wasn't able to come up with my order code themselves? Is there a piece of info everyone's providing them beyond name, address, etc?

There is a significant difference on information access depending if you had a reservation that turned into an order versus having a dealer place an order for you.

In the former scenario, Ford has your information and since that gets tied to the WBDO order you are known to Ford via you email. This is all tied together in your Ford account where you can logon and get info.

In the latter scenario, Ford only knows the information from the dealer. Your name is on that WBDO order but not other information that Ford can tie to you. By obtaining the Sales Code (identifies the dealer) and the Order Code (identifies the order at that dealer) then Ford Marketing can find that info. I'm not sure how much they will share with someone not from the dealer.
