according to CSX's glossary of terms:I'm needing someone to calm my crazy. My rail car has been "placed at industry" in Dixiana, SC since the Sunday, the 10th @ 7pm. According to other posts I've seen, this means that the car is still loaded. I'm hoping there's someone who has railroad experience and can tell me why my rail car has been sitting, loaded, for 5 days when others who arrived to the same rail yard AFTER mine were unloaded and trucked to their dealers?! Send help![]()
Can't get a live person on the phone at CSX. You have to have some log in number to speak with a customer service rep.according to CSX's glossary of terms:
"Placed at industry" means:
A notification of an approaching event or intended action, such as notice to a customer that cars ordered will soon be placed at their industry. Passed the signal. Charges for services performed other than the actual movement of freight.
It seems that it takes around one day for cars to be emptied usually. Maybe it means the railcar was returned back to its owner and your Bronco has been already unloaded.
I would call CSX customer service and talk to a person, it lets you do that when you call the 800 number after three automated prompts and check with them and see what they say.
If built in Michigan that doesn’t make sense to me. It took about a week before my was traveling by railroadI wish it was that easy. I’ve been calling since July 2nd, Ford keeps telling me no railcar or number has been listed and to keep inquiring until it does. Glad you got yours.

I check ctx about an hour ago and it said its eta is 7/21 to florida, my eta from dealer is 7/26-7/30 so seems to be on point for me at the moment. Is anyone else confused by what the rail car trackers are saying? I checked both CTX and UP and they reference dates and locations that don't make any sense.
I'm guessing my railcar has not been transferred to Union Pacific from CSX yet. It doesn't even mention a Texas destination yetI check ctx about an hour ago and it said its eta is 7/21 to florida, my eta from dealer is 7/26-7/30 so seems to be on point for me at the moment.
mine doesn't have to switch rail companies so maybe that's why? it has mentioned the destination since the beginning of tracking.I'm guessing my railcar has not been transferred to Union Pacific from CSX yet. It doesn't even mention a Texas destination yet![]()
Doesn’t make sense to me either, but there you have it. Mine was built and released for shipping on 6/23. Actually shipped on 7/2. Now two weeks later, no one can provide me a location or railcar number. Not one thing on this colossal two year cluster fuck has been easy. It is what it is no matter how you feel about it.If built in Michigan that doesn’t make sense to me. It took about a week before my was traveling by railroad
Was notified on 7/6 I went to shipping, 7/12 I checked by calling Ford and it was on a train and found out through the Canadian National RR that it had reached Memphis. Came from Michigan plant. Now sitting in Memphis.I’m at 2 1/2 weeks and counting
