I grew up in Northeast TX and lived in Biloxi, OKC, and currently Little Rock. I’ve been everywhere in the southeastern US. The heat and humidity, especially down on the Gulf Coast, is gonna be terrible. And don’t be surprised at temps in the 90s. It’s bad if you’re used to it. It’s killer if you aren’t.
When I went through basic training in San Antonio we had some guys in my flight from WA. We arrived in Apr. They were complaining about the heat. I just laughed bc we weren’t leaving until June.

Biloxi was way worse than I thought it would be. Left San Antonio after basic to Keesler AFB for 4 months in arriving in August. Im from Central Illinois so the heat and humidity isnt anything new to me but this was just different. Humidy 100% every freaking day marching that triangle.

Agree. Starved rock is also beautiful. I am surrounded by nothing but cornfields and politicians so avoid central at all cost and it aint the cornfields that bother me.

Haha. I’m originally from Texas. I was in initial 3C0 tech school at Keesler from Sep 99 - Jan 00. I know marching that triangle well. It wasn’t too hot then, but I went back more than once for specialty schools and 7- level upgrade training. Then went through NCOIA in the summer/fall 2010 at Keesler. The humidity/heat was miserable in the summer. Lots of fun memories there, and some not so fun.

Must be awful in south LA this week. It’s unseasonably hot here in Little Rock this week, even for June. It was in the upper 90’s today with high humidity and an outrageous heat index.

Not as fun as the Bronco but we spent our first night in Big Timber, MT. Called an audible on Moose Creek outside Yellowstone due to the flooding. Even here the river is raging.

Her car gets a bit better mileage, even towing, so it's a small consolation. Sitting at 18-19 so far.
