hey do y’all know the process for ordering a ‘23? is there a reservation list? first come first serve when order banks open? seriously thinking about ordering a ‘23 & selling my ‘22 when/if i even get it.
Here is what I did—- went through a 22 build and price online. Then used the area code for the dealer I wanted and submitted. The dealer then called me and I told him I wanted a 23 only. Didn’t tell this dealer the background. He put me on his list and said I’d get a call the day they opened orders. Didn’t have any idea when that would be.

Some of you may have seen me tell this story. I sort of screwed myself on this whole thing.

Ford f’d up and said I had to reorder for MY2022 when I had a 2021 VIN, December build. I reordered the same Black Diamond but with the 2.7 engine on second order. My dealer is smaller and didnt have a lot of orders so my second was chosen for 1/24 build week. In December, I discovered the first order was still good (much to my chagrin) and the truck was completed and delivered to the dealer just after New Years. Dealer wouldnt sell me both and since I wanted the larger engine, which was due just 7 weeks later, I passed on the truck. Then my second order got bumped up from 1/24 to 1/17 and here we are. I believe more 1/24 builds made it out so even though I had stupidly good luck on build selection, I had crappo luck in the end.

That's terrible luck. I would have made the same decision you did; not only because of the engine but also to get a 2022 model year.

I was also originally scheduled in the 1/24 week, and Ford rescheduled me to 1/17. When I got the email notifying me of that change I thought, "finally! The universe is gifting me a tiny bit of good luck!"

Ha!

I suspect at least one Ice Mountain victim has been released.

Was at the dealership to get the driver's side rear window replaced and when I was leaving I saw this beautiful badlands that just got delivered while I was in service.

She's awfully dirty. If you zoom in on the front of the grille you can see bugs all over it and the windshield. Looks like it's logged some miles.

Anyhow - it was awesome to see another EG and Germain will do a great job getting it cleaned up for some lucky owner.

Did you ever take delivery or figure it out?
Hey, yes I did. Delivery wasn’t as smooth as we had hoped. I’m glad to have my bronco but the driver’s side window is stuck about a quarter of an inch down and won’t go up or down.. they can’t get me in for 2 weeks to fix, also the detail crew took a chunk out of the paint on the passengers side 😩 they are fixing everything, but it was just weird. Dealer almost made us feel like we were unusual for being in such a rush to get our vehicle. We knew the vehicle was in our city but they didn’t have the ability to pick it up, finally after 5 days they ended up just going to rail yard to get it… It is absolutely the most fun vehicle to drive and it looks awesome. We love the interior and all the features. Just a weird dealership experience 🤷🏻‍♀️ kinda took the excitement out of it, but I’m thrilled with the car 😂

Another day another different story. Called MPH, Now they see my ETA as 21 April with no update. Told me the vehicle is on a chip hold which I know and as soon as it gets the chip installed it will ship out, also something I know and makes sense.

I have mild regret not taking the first one with everything that has happened since, but Ive driven Broncos with both engines and wouldnt be happy with the 2.3. No one has ever explained to me why I was told to reorder for 2022. Kind of par for this whole thing though.

This made me realize that I had not advised on the mileage on my Bronco at pickup. 73 miles!! On delivery to the dealer, I posted a picture of it, it was absolutely filthy!!! It definitely went through the Ice Mountain dirt and mud pits.

My had a surprisingly low 32. I think my 2022 CRV had 34 miles on it. Not sure how they rack up 30 miles, or 70, or 100+ miles but oh well.

We should just post updates over there as well. All are welcome to join, of course.

I encourage all to spread the information to anybody who wants to participate. The more, the merrier.
Most of us 1/24 folks watch you guys looking for a glimmer of hope.

July or maybe longer. I have family trip to OBX end of August and would love to have something by then. Ill be looking at dealer inventory up until that point. If I cant find anything, I may hold out and will have to make a decision on keeping the truck or not. Ive never been screwed like this on a purchase before. Ford defenders will say shortages arent its fault but Ford did make the decision to use chips on cars on the line. Better economic sense for the company, maybe. Screwed me as a consumer. Just wish I had a louder voice.
Yeah I am probably the same. I'd give up now if there was any inventory of anything else I wanted. Really hate the idea of getting a 7 to 12 month old "new car."

Well, I am 1 week post repair and that means I've driven the Bronco 14 days. I still root for the 1/17 crew, and all of the rest sitting on the mountain still. I hope they are released soon, I can't enjoy mine knowing so many are still waiting. It sucks.

So let's get real for a second. For everyone like myself who's still In Production after all this time, when is the breaking point for when you just say you're out? Also, what's your realistic expectations on when we take delivery? I gotta be honest that shareholder call absolutely crushed me and I tend to agree with whoever said we may not even get our Bronco this year. I def don't wanna me in the situation of having a '22 model when '23 models are rolling out. That '23 Corvette is looking very good right now, I may be out. FML <end rant>
Although I am tired of waiting, there is no other vehicle that I want (that I can afford). So, I will wait some more. Maybe end up with a '23, who knows? Until then, I have started a kitchen remodel as a distraction :)

I've not really combed through the threads, but anyone have thoughts on dirt/ice mountain being "cleaned up" next week (5/15-5/21) since it's not a build week?

@ocbucks1 had this post and that week isn't included.
https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/build-week-tracking-spreadsheets-📊.33329/

I was told by ford chat to expect an update the week of 5/15 on my chip hold and the same by my dealer (drink🍺). I'm not really hopeful at this point since the 21st is my original EDD but not much I can do at this point but keep waiting.

I just got off the phone with customer service I inquired about a logistics case to be started for my Bronco since the EDD has been pushed back multiple times. He gladly started the process for me and said it could take 7-10 business days for the logistics team to get back to him, but when they do he will give me a call back and tell me the update. Fingers crossed this actually does something.
