Just got off the phone with Ford and they said it was a convoy hold. Dealer says he has 40 vehicles stranded in the railyard that he would like to get. The story seems to be there either aren't enough drivers or someone is not paying the drivers enough to make it worth their while. I'm trying not to complain about it, I just thought others might like to know that they are not the only ones experiencing some wacky stuff too. It's gotta be this week, I can feel it! Just like the past five weeks. I'm a little embarrassed how much time I have spent researching and thinking about this damn piece of metal. I sure hope it is as cool as I am imagining it will be, lol.
Complain away, I'd be frustrated knowing it was that close, but out of reach. I guess you at least know what the holdup is, and that it isn't related to a problem with the vehicle itself. I'm guessing the dealer is doing whatever they can to get vehicles, because that is a lot of sales just sitting in a railyard, but I wonder if there is a way they can start picking those up themselves?

EDD now punted all the way to 5/15 - 5/21. On an order marked built since 3/20. That only needs convoy to IL.

I am patient, but seriously, how did I fall into this trap. It's never going to show. There are some serious problems at MAP. What is going on at Ford?

It‘s about damn time!!! Congratulations!!!

Looks like I’m going to be one of the first ones in and the very last one out of the Richmond yard. Tomorrow will be a month since it was unloaded from the train :cautious:

I’m holding out hope my delivery date holds this week and my 7th delivery commitment from Ford actually holds.
Any news on your rig? I am still waiting for the dealer to do whatever they need to do release it, but for some reason I am not as pissed off as when it was sitting down in Richmond. Hope you get yours soon! I'm thinking I will take ownership tomorrow or Thursday but we will see. Officially retired as of 5:30 pm today so I can adjust my schedule to pick it up.

Hello there, I may be able to give you some insight on your order. I am a dealer down in PA, and we have a few Broncos in the same exact situation. Our customers received the "Built" email about two days after the build date, and we expected to see them both the following week. As you could imagine, nothing happened, and we kept seeing the EDD pushed back 5-7 days as soon as it got within 1-2 days of the EDD end date. I reached out to our Regional Ford Rep, and they assured me that these Broncos are built and waiting to be added to a vehicle carrier shipping manifest. Just to be safe, a reached out to the shipping company to see if they could confirm that information, and what I learned from that phone call is where this starts to get confusing. The shipping company explained that both Broncos are marked "Rush Sold" and that they are "Built-Awaiting Shipment", but Ford moved them from the designated pickup lot, to a holding lot that the shipping company does not have access to. They explained that Ford will have to shuttle them back to the lot that they have access to, or they will have to give the shipping company access to the holding lot. Now, I have no idea why Ford would move them to a holding lot, as I have not had two separate sources at FMC confirm that they are built. Last night was the first time that the EDD jumped almost two weeks, and my guess is that this was a manual change made by a Ford employee, and not the system adjusting the EDD based on an algorithm. There is probably a reason behind all of these delays, but I no longer believe that this is all down to a vehicle carrier delay.

Thanks for that info. (y) I think I may have seen you post this elsewhere in response to someone else. I had a similar assumption, that somehow it got moved out of the primary convoy shipping lot and is stored off somewhere. Only thing I can think of is that when mine was built, the Ice Mountain (chip) issues were basically at their peak, and they probably ran out of room to store vehicles that weren't rail and that they couldn't immediately put on a convoy. I've seen what look like some other dealer-ordered vehicles (Rangers and Broncos) in my area in the same situation--built in Feb or March but not shipping.

Agree that the EDD bumps are now out of the usual bump interval and probably manual. The prior one on mine was a week out more than usual, and now this one was bumped 2 weeks out.

Maybe a new mountain--The Lot That Time Forgot 🕰🕘:poop:

First off, congratulations on your retirement! I did the same 13 months ago and I’m hear to tell you it’s awesome. That‘s a nice milestone to reach and you’ve got a toy to play with!!!

No word on my Bronco, my estimated delivery on the tracker is holding at 5/3 to 5/9 so I’m still hopeful but obviously prepared for another slippage. Now on month 21 since reservation date and counting…..

Only time will tell. I feel bad for our customers that we don't have a clear idea of what is going on, but some info is better than no info.

Blend date 3/16 , has been sitting " in Production" since. Talked to ford chat this morning and gave me an ETA of 5/7. Told me it was on a chip hold. I asked if 5/7 was the date it would leave production and i got " That's the estimated date showing on our end for delivery, so hopefully there's action behind the scenes that were not seeing " Not sure what to think anymore!

I am in the same situation, Ford doesn't know what is going on. The lack of communication from them is what has been the most frustrating thing for me. The hard part is that they are not giving their dealers any information either.

I agree! They tell me to contact my salesmen for more information but they don't have a clue either!

There are guys including me who had their broncos built a full two months before yours in the same boat. Our EDD's have come and gone and no answer in sight. Buckle up you may be here for a bit.

I was told a radical date like that once, unfortunately it did not work out that way. That was about a month ago. Still waiting, but I’m feeling like it’s getting close now. Hopefully you will have better luck!
