When I got the VIN from ford they told me to talk to my dealer for anything else. I just sent an email to my sales guy to see if he can see if their system shows anything else. It's been a little like pulling teeth to get information from the sales guy. I went to him because my brother-in-law had worked with him a lot buying 6 cars over the years with him. That being said, the Ford chat only works for some individuals. When I tried it, it took them 45 minutes to find any information for me and they said all they could see on their end was that my status was “Order confirmed”. I had my customer number, reservation number, VIN, and had received multiple emails from Ford withbbuild weeks. They were useless.
So that does highlight the ongoing system challenges that Ford is having. Very typical of a business that never was built to work directly with the public and was built for business-to-business work. In my history, many business-to-business systems are a little rough and people just deal with it because they can get away with it. That they are a public company makes it even worse because their fixing systems related to dealing directly with the public normally have no impact on the share price.What i see on my end is that its scheduled for the week of may 9
