You should go to ford Chat with your VIN... The VIN is assigned when they schedule a build week....
When I got the VIN from ford they told me to talk to my dealer for anything else. I just sent an email to my sales guy to see if he can see if their system shows anything else. It's been a little like pulling teeth to get information from the sales guy. I went to him because my brother-in-law had worked with him a lot buying 6 cars over the years with him. But he's been really unengaged with me.

Sorry to hear that, man. My advice would be go up the chain. Do you know the name of your salesman manager? Call and ask for him, or stop by. What you’re asking for isn’t difficult information to find, and the last thing a Sales Manager wants to find out is that one of his salesman is neglecting their duties to a customer.

That being said, the Ford chat only works for some individuals. When I tried it, it took them 45 minutes to find any information for me and they said all they could see on their end was that my status was “Order confirmed”. I had my customer number, reservation number, VIN, and had received multiple emails from Ford withbbuild weeks. They were useless.

It is fun watching the 5/2 build week before us getting their WSs. I am a bit concerned I’m not a Mansquatch order but what can you do?

Even if you have a build date, it might change-a lot 😆

I’m on my fourth or fifth change and already 30 days past the first ETA

I got booted yesterday from build date of 5/3 to build week of 5/9 (4th time but who's counting). I have an auto OuterBanks, non-sasquatch, so now I'm confused. You mansquatch folks might want to check with Ford chat that your date hasn't slipped :(

Also, it used to be that Ford Chat only had like 10 people in the queue, the past week it's been 50+ every time and takes about 25 minutes to talk to someone. Guess the word is out!

My salesperson checked is his system and stated:

What i see on my end is that its scheduled for the week of may 9
So that does highlight the ongoing system challenges that Ford is having. Very typical of a business that never was built to work directly with the public and was built for business-to-business work. In my history, many business-to-business systems are a little rough and people just deal with it because they can get away with it. That they are a public company makes it even worse because their fixing systems related to dealing directly with the public normally have no impact on the share price.

Of course, Tesla was built to work directly with the public, and their IT systems generally work quite well, but it's their customer service that constantly struggles because they are a manufacturer trying to serve customers. Ford customer service sucks, but overall Dealers give good customer service, because generally happy customers mean happy dealers, and has little impact on ford.
