Paintable Fender Flares by Bushwacker

Has anyone had these painted and installed yet? I really hate the huge flare look going all the way up the side of the fender but I'm hoping they won't look as goofy after they're painted to match? The standard black plastic version of these are hideous in my opinion.

I’d love ones that are a bit more squared off like the older Broncos. But without replacing the whole fender I’m not sure that’s even possible.

The dimensions for the 4D fenders are different than the 2D fenders?
