Is there a better signal antenna than the stock?

How far do you live from civilization? I have a Craven Speed antenna and was about 75+ miles from any station and got perfect reception. I actually have no difference from the original, giant, stupid antenna from the 80s.

Lots of folks have put a stubby antenna on. I plan on leaving mine though - I’d rather hit my antenna on a low ceiling first than potentially damage my roof. Good “early warning” detector.
But how long the Antenna would last? if it keeps hitting low ceiling everytime I put it in my garage, it hits the Garage Frame and then the Garage Door. May be putting some Tape on it would keep it safe from scratches or replacing the Antenna with a smaller one?

I saw one for $21 on Amazon, it is only 1.5"? (AntennaX Super Shorty Antenna)

I kinda trashed my original the first car wash I went through. So I really had no choice but I didn't like the height of the stock one anyways.

Leaving mine alone.

The F-150 has a whip antenna, the Mustang has one. Why would a whip bother me on the Bronco. Whips get better radio reception than stubbies.

Besides, you can always use it as an emergency .22 caliber cleaning rod if you need one.

Mine is in storage, replaced with a 1.5 stubby. No need for it.

I chopped the stock one. I don't listen to the radio so I can't tell you if signal got worse.

Yes please. Let us know if the antenna delete fits well. This is my plan if and when…
Oh it fit perfectly and has been on there ever since. Since I installed the trail lights on the mirrors it definitely just looks cleaner.
