What did the OP do to their Bronco where the tow truck wouldn’t tow them out?
4x4 failure in a patch of snow. I knew it would take offroad recovery but Ford assured me that their roadside assistance could do it. Sent 2 tow trucks while I waited 3-4 hours for each.
I should've just had offroad recovery come first but the Ford rep kept telling me not to. Lesson learned.

Sorry to hear. But I don’t understand why it’s Fords fault you don’t have a vehicle after an accident. That’s between you, your insurance and the responsible parties insurance to figure out. Not Ford.

What am I missing?
Why don't you have rental reimbursement on you policy?

I’m sure you already did, but have you asked your insurance company to get you a rental?
You have to have that rider on the policy before you need it. My guess is that OP does not since his only tow option service in place was Ford.

Some insurance policies can also include roadside assistance but as a backup (unpaid and unsolicited flagrant testimonial) shouldn't everyone carry AAA?

Did you hear anything wrong before you were stranded? Mine is making a hollow steel hitting something in the front differential. It goes in 4-25 to be disassembled to find the problem. I’ve had great history of this dealer having a loaner ready. I emailed ahead of time and he said they do not. I’m a little upset by this. If it’s something that takes overnight they should have a car for me. That’s how it’s always been. He said all 8 are out while the customers cars are waiting on parts or repairs. I think I’m going to be in the same boat they will disassemble and wait for parts and who knows when I’ll get it back. First time at any dealership in my life they didn’t have a car ready for me to use while warranty repairs were made.

Yeah I have AAA now etc the tow portion shouldn't really be an issue. Like I said... lesson learned. Ford roadside assistance just kept assuring me they would be able to get it and they could not. I was very clear with them that I didnt think they would be able to since they'd need a truck with a longer winch. I was about 40ft off of a paved surface in the snow.

Expect to wait a long time for parts but no - I had no indication that something was wrong before it broke. The car was driveable with a horrible noise afterwards, though. Dash said "4x4 fault"
