Were you able to add free stuff to your bronco order ? Mine is at MSRP (Canada you can't do ADM like in USA for order). I'm wondering if I buy heated seat and floor carpeting plus winter tire... can I get floor carpet for free ?

I'm usually good at this but atm I don't really have any lever on the dealer... it's not like I could pretend I'll buy it somewhere else if he doesn't give me anything.

Ford has some sort of customer appreciation kickback to the dealers. Not sure if it applies in Canada. Ask your dealer about it

The problem is you don't really have any leverage because of demand. Even if there isn't ADM in CA, I'm sure they'll find someone else to buy it fairly quickly with no concessions.

Just take your bronco and be happy. I work at a dealer, don’t be the guy trying to negotiate on something that’s yours already… you ordered it now take delivery and enjoy it

Yep. Back in 2005 I bought a MINI Cooper S convertible, and demand for them was crazy at the time. I couldn't even negotiate a free pen with the deal. 😂

What does it has to do the fact that it's already yours... It's my first new car ever that's a big leap for me to pay something this expensive... I would just feel dum to pay everything full price for something this pricey.

The dealer gets up to ~$800 usd or so in rebates per customer to apply towards accessories like floor mats, road side kits, etc

You would feel even more dumb to lose your first new car over something as minor as a disagreement over free carpet.

Also, "dum"?

Didn’t you just say “you were good at this” so how’s it your first new vehicle? I’m saying don’t be the guy looking for freebies when these are selling for 5-10k over. I promise you the dealer isn’t making much money on your order. You start asking for free stuff and they’ll start not trying to sell it to you because someone else has a customer ready to by for a market adjustment and no free stuff… sorry I’m a salesman so I’m seeing it from the other view point right now

So you are saying for each buyer of a car they have free cash to give around 800$ in stuff?

It's a $1,000 USD. My dealer put it towards ceramic clear coat, under body rust protection, additional sound proofing, and interior fabric protection. They normally charge $1,895, I paid $895. That was their take it or leave it offer for the dealer incentive program. Not sure if it all is worth it at the $1,895, but detailers around here charge $1200 for just the ceramic clear coat and the fabric protection came with a 5 yr warranty against stains so I took their offer.

Program is completely optional on the dealers part. The good thing about the program is the dealer has to submit receipts to claim it, so they in theory can't just pocket the $1,000 themselves.
