Naw what makes me mad is folks selling some doo-dad that's completely over rated or un-needed....and likely overpriced too. Then every one jumps in and buys the junk cause its the new have-to-have item. Kinda funny in some ways I guess.
 Did you want, or need, the aftermarket tires and stick on trail armor? :p

Sometimes people just want stuff, and that's all. It just comes at a price, and no one is forcing us - we just want it!

This is so true. Raptor parts pricing is insane.
Unless the parts directly interchange with lesser models, there isn't that big of a market for Raptor Specific part. They still have to design/produce the part and won't ever sell anywhere near the quantity that they would for a regular F150.

I'm sure the manufacturer also takes into account that the person could afford to spend a lot of cheese on a toy so they probably have the money to spend on expensive parts.

All of the above reasons are exactly why my money is staying in my pocket for now.
But, competition will eventually pick up as more vendors come online and start making parts. Examples already exist right here on B6G. Archetype came out with some sweet steps for the rock rails, but $500 a pair is too much IMO. Just recently IAG introduced their steps for $250 a pair! Give the market time to catch up!

Just sourcing stuff right now is terrible. Long waits and backorders it's all intertwined. Hence the reason me and a 1000 others waiting on our broncos for over a year and a half.

Pricing is nuts when compared to Jeep but they still have development costs to recoup, and a much smaller market to boot. It will get better eventually.
This is my test when I am pricing stuff. Go see what the JL equivalent costs are compared to the Bronco product from the same company. Its significantly higher every time. I totally get the development costs its going to add money, true fact. BUT when you go to these guys sites that are building bumpers and the JL bumpers are $700 give or take and the Bronco ones are $1800 or more, thats messed up. Good thing is, you don't have to by them. Just be patient and the price will come down. People that are saying "Its just what things cost, quit whining", go ahead and buy now.....a fool and his money and all that.

Yes this is true. I can understand things that take a great deal of fabricating to be a bit pricey! But then there are many things that dont.

Chris, I think the problem right now is there's not much competition in the Bronco aftermarket. If the Bronco makes it, it should be like Jeeps aftermarket after a while. It won't come down much, but the prices should get a bit better. And there will be more suppliers to choose from.
Same thing happened when the Camaro came back compared to the aftermarket for Mustang. Comparable Camaro parts were way more expensive the parts for the Mustang.

Things should hopefully come down once Bronco has been out for a while

As I browse through all these after market products coming online for our trucks. I cant help but think why is everything so damn expensive?? I want decent seat covers ! $ 1000 ! NO WAY ! What's your complaint!
I think a lot is early adopter surcharge and non-mass-produced parts. It will be different when there are 500K Broncos on the road.

When it comes to seat covers you may think $1000 is expensive but think about what it needed to manufacture them. The initial investment and time required to make templates of each seat for each model. Your talking hundreds of hours before a $1 can be made. And the hundreds of dollars of material needed. If you have special requests there is extra change over time needed to swap out threads, inserts or embroidery. And the labor to made them. I have no idea how many hours it takes but I figured atleast 3 hours at $100 a hour. Plus there has to be profit built in; so that's 20%. It all adds up. And seats are all custom orders. They aren't stock piling them and pumping them out on a assembly line for costs sake.
