Is there a route that runs along the northern US to Seattle?
It looks like that would be BNSF. I found that the cities given in the UP and CSX phone recordings don't accurately correspond to UP cities on the maps.

OK. I am now going to tell you all a story that only this board can appreciate, and it is something that can only happen to me.

As some of you know, I am an attorney. I have a general practice which means I do some traffic tickets a few accidents stuff like that.

Of course, I waited until the last minute to add the insurance on my new bronco.

When I called Geico to add the bronco I got my quote and then he said “let me just run the reports and I’ll get right back to you”.

The guy comes back on the phone and he says “Wes, I have some bad news this is showing me that your drivers license has been suspended as of two days ago.”

Ummm….WTF….

Then it hit me. I had this old expired registration ticket from the county next-door on my old FJ cruiser, which many of you know, has a blown engine.

Apparently, my dumb ass missed my own court date.

Geico tell me there is nothing they can do until my suspension is cleared.

Being that it’s Friday, here in North Carolina there is not much court going on; but faster than you can even blink, I throw my suit on and drive that rented 2020 mustang like a bat out of hell to the county courthouse with an order clearing my failure to appear.

Now, finding a judge in North Carolina on a Friday to sign an order is rather like ordering a Ford bronco and expecting it to be built within a reasonable amount of time: it ain’t gonna happen.

But, somehow, someway, the bronco gods were smiling on me because when I walked into the courthouse the judge was standing there in the hallway!

He signed the order striking my failure to appear and the Clerk sent the information to the DMV!

Disaster avoided! I should’ve had a better lawyer ha ha.

welp... I suppose I'm not getting my car this weekend. It was 30 min from me but they put it onto another train and now its 3.5 hours away heading towards Philly. Why would they do that?!
Are you sure its just not the empty train heading backwards?

That is prolly the empty car going in reverse. Maybe your new toy is in the rail lot.
Anyone else on west coast having trouble tracking via CSX?

First off, they're system has a hard time getting the rail letters correct. I suggest using the keypad to enter the letters. It's still a little wonky, but at least accurate. My rail letters are BNSF so I entered 22(B) 62 (N) 74 (B) 33 (F). First number correlates to the letter, second number is the position. Look at your keypad and it'll make sense.

Second, I'm in San Diego. On Monday, the CSX system said my rail car had been delivered to customer location in San Diego (where I live). It's about two weeks early. I got excited and reached out to the dealership, but they said they don't have it yet. Wednesday, I checked CSX again and the system said it was in National City (small town adjacent to San Diego) so I figured it's just moving between yards no big deal. I checked again today (Friday) and now it's in Chicago. The CSX tracking system is pretty screwed up and not accurate from what I've experienced.
I could never get the key pad option to work. I would take a deep breath and say all 10 digits slowly and clearly in one exhale. Note that the recording goes up to the most recent location, then backlists all previous stops.
