Love it Alvin!!!

If I lived closer once I take delivery I’d acquire your services with detailing… super impressive and some out here see obsessive compulsive not as a disorder, rather a quality.
its A feature, not a bug :)

Morning update!

Hi Josh, this is Wes. I appreciate all of your help, but I’ve decided that I don’t want the Bronco after all. If you would, please transfer ownership of it to my good friend @Cat , who will be in touch with you shortly. Thanks!

Nice, I got the lux package and heard the rear two speakers were kind of crappy. But im going to wait to do anything g until I hear it first hand.. I like my music, so I'm joking I don't have to make too many modifications
I wanted the b&o system but I didn’t want to pay for the lux package to get it. It’s only 2 more speakers 🔊 and one being a sub. So I think once I add that in I’ll be good

Where is that screenshot from? I was a later reservation so per the OCD I didn’t think I’d qualify for the additional 20k points.
Its from a ford email I received. When was your reservation? Mine was November 2020.

You can call 833-385-0516 and they can tell you if you qualify. But then you need to call dealer back to get them to add some “coupon”.

Oh, I sent him all that info. His response is I don't get it because I switched from Wildtrak to OBX. We know that's not true, but not sure how to convince him otherwise.
i swapped the 2.3 for the 2.7 and was told that I don't get the price protection on that... does that sound correct?

You will love automatic cruise control if you haven’t used that before. I am going to miss that from my current car. That should be standard on these cars no matter the trim.

@Duke.Roughneck...

Specifically, this from the FORD FAQs:

"Note: Customers are able to apply their certificate to different series for 2022 MY. However, their certificate amount will reflect the series on order as of October 1, 2021".

That’s a good point Alvin. I need to check that.
Yes, there are HUGE differences in what the various policies cover. Do not shop by price. Get a copy of the Coverage Agreements and read them carefully. The devil is in the details.

Well! Pleasant surprise yesterday evening, my baby is here!! They took a picture of it on the truck, and I got to go see it pre-PDI so that I could be the first one to sit on the leather seat :ROFLMAO: Going today at 12:45 to pick up!!! I realized 2 things yesterday - 1) I am shorter than I thought (5'5"), this thing is a beast and steps are likely to be ordered soon. 2) I am really bad at taking pictures.
More (hopefully better) pictures to follow :)
This community has been amazing and has helped me stay (mostly) sane throughout this process. 571 days since day 1 reservation...but who's counting. @Cat thank you for keeping up with the spreadsheet for all of us!

@Aman

Hi there...was wondering if you had some recovery gear kit (ala cart or pre-assembled) recommendations for a newby off-roader, who plans on doing light-to-medium trails?

I dont really want a winch....or do I??

Thanks!
Hiya, @Cat! I believe you are getting the mod bumper on your Wildtrak. If I am correct in that assertion, my first recommendation is a kinetic rope and soft shackles. I bought a set from Matt's Recovery when they had their preorder pricing last year. Matt's rope is sourced from Yankum and is a proven brand. A lot of people like metal shackles, but I think they are unnecessary, unless you want them for the bling factor on the front of your rig.

I really want a winch, but do not want to block the camera or ACC sensor, so I am looking at the stealth one from Rough Country. Unfortunately, it only works with the 2.3L unless you want to relocate the cooler, which is not difficult, but will require some fabrication. Ideally someone will produce a 2" hitch adapter for the mod bumper which lets us to use a winch on the front or rear and allows you to leave it in the garage when you're just cruising around town.

If you end up with a winch, I also suggest a tree saver strap and snatch block. I prefer a traditional snatch block as opposed to the solid aluminum versions, but many like the aluminum versions.

When it comes to lifting the vehicle, I suggest staying away from hi-lift jacks. I love the off-road floor jacks from Pro Eagle, but with the limited space in the 2-door I opted for The Sergeant from SafeJack.

Also, while this is outside your scope of recovery gear, I suggest an air compressor. I bought the KR Off-Road ARB Compressor Engine Bay Mount and twin compressor from @4x4TruckLEDs.com. This is a sexy piece of kit that will be useful even for medium trails.

Oh, don't want to forget recovery boards. If you're on your own and don't have a winch, these will get you out of a lot of difficult situations. Do not cheap out on these. There are plenty of cheaper ones available online, but they will disintegrate the first time you use them. Maxtrax are a proven product and will not let you down when you are stuck.

I have much more to add, but my boss just asked, "You're a master on forums, huh?", so I should probably pretend to work a little. :ROFLMAO:
