What isn't Ford's fault? They haven't told us anything. We have to piece this together on our own. Any misplaced blame or misconceptions are because Ford is keeping us in the dark.

That is Ford's fault.
Don't think either one of you are wrong. Ford can't help the worldwide chip shortage but they can help their poor communication. Imagine being just a regular Joe or Jill and not having this board for info and suddenly seeing your EDD pushed 3 months out two weeks prior to delivery with no explanation. That's so ridiculous.

Does this mean there won’t be a single bronco delivered until May? (Not counting the build weeks in front of us)

That just seems mind blowing to me. There’s going to be a 3 month gap where not a single Bronco goes out?

Nah ours will be on hold until they find some time to install whatever parts we're missing. The line keeps going and those will be shipped out if they are fully built

But why would build orders with dates after 1/24 get chips before us?

That was my question many pages back. That's like either finding parking places for 25,000 Broncos, or stopping production on 25,000 Broncos. I do not envy whoever is responsible for making that decision.

Great question. I'm guessing because they don't want the line to stop.
If I had to hazard a guess I would say, if possible, they will treat this like dirt mountain. They will hold the ones with the issues and keep the line moving and sending out those broncos while working on Ice Mountain. This all depends on if this chip issue was a problem with a certain batch that was contained or if it is not enough chips and it will have a massive ripple effect. There really is no way to know until they say something, assuming they do.

Yes and also added to that is Ford doesn't tell the dealers anything. My dealer is completely in the dark as well. If Ford doesn't want to mass message folks then allow the dealers to deliver messages to customers as to the whys and why nots.
Exactly. Ford has a great communication network already in place with the dealerships. But they don't use it.
