You know what that probably means? Your CS rep may have been correct.. your truck just finished getting built, and they are re-estimating your ship date because you are gonna be out the door SOON!!!

Mine, however, is still holding steady at, In Production, ship date 2/6.
Well one could hope! But that estimated delivery date is still quite a stretch since they didn’t think it would ship until 2/1. No way will it be in DE by 2/10 based on the rail stories on here

I'm still a little confused why my window sticker said mine was shipping via convoy, but it was by rail after all. Anyone else has that happen to them?

I love that people like us exist so I can show my spouse these pictures and try to make my argument for my sanity
My spouse finally wrote me a Ruby program that pings the trucker trackers every 10 seconds and will e-mail us when our VIN registers in one of them

Edit: when IF. Not 100% sure our dealer uses either North American (palsapp) or United Road

Successfully got the top down and back up without mishap. I need to practice to get more efficient at the process.

I need to buy some window bags.

First day of the Bronco Experience

The Dealership, Gullo Ford of Conroe, lived up to all expectations, no shenanigans' at all.
Everything was as I asked with no complications.
We spent about an hour going over @Cat OCD List and my List of Do’s and Don’ts.
We found zero issues on the list, and we did check all that we could.

The Bronco was not washed as per my request, so that I really appreciated.
Ford Bronco 🛠 1/3/22 Build Week Group 1643504982167

They knew about the Customer Satisfaction Program, and I got $500.00 in credit for Ford Accessors with I used. I got my MIC hardtop Credit for model year change $ 695.00. The applied the points for Ford Pass, but it might take a bit to show on my side. They did beat my APR from my local credit union, so I went with their Finance through their lender at an exceptional rate.

My Initial thoughts is the Bronco is a big beast, but not unreasonable. The wife didn’t want to drive it, so she drove back in the Raptor. 😊

The seating is great with lots of adjustments and I fit well, I was impressed. The steering wheel seems smaller that I am used to, but it only took a few minutes to get used to it.

It drove awesome, plenty of power once I remembered how to put it into Sport Mode 😊. The display is amazing, I wish my other trucks was nice. The Wireless Apple Play was easy to setup and worked perfect.

I did find the wind noise at the windshield was more than I like. I will need to figure out where the wind is getting through and see if there is a solution.

We picked her up with 12 miles and got home at 100 miles on the odometer.

We made one stop by a friend’s house to show her off. They ordered a bronco the same day we did and not even a VIN # yet. They are much happier waiting now and agree it is worth the wait.

She drove like a dream, no complaints on anything. Lots of power, very tight steering, stays in the lane perfectly. All the tech was fun.

It was a bit chilly but I had to get all that dirt and debris off of the Bronco so I can spend some time tomorrow cleaning the interior and seeing about adding some of my goodies I have ordered.

I think she cleaned up nicely for my initial treatment.

We had that same discussion--married 32 years, 10 mos, 1 week, but who's counting? The fact is, I am a better driver wrt judgment, mechanical skills, and reading social cues from other drivers. (Like probably 80% of Silicon Valley geniuses, my husband might be a tad of the way onto the autism spectrum. I tell him he is DWA--driving while Asperger's.) He has more confidence and a better sense of direction around unfamiliar cities, even given GPS.

We resolved it by saying that, since we'll be driving to the dealer's an hour away in hubby's car, he will drive the Bronco out of that city, 30 minutes up the California Coast to a resort area, where we will switch cars, and I will drive "Steamboat" rest of the way home.
I got to drive the Bronco home today, but I have a feeling this will be the last time I will get to drive it. :)

Ooooo it looks good in the green. I debated between that color and the red I went with. I don't think there's really a bad choice in any of them!

Thank you @Cat . She loves her Bumblebees. That is her classroom's mascot. Hmm now that you mention it , maybe that is why she insisted on the Cyber Orange? If so, she is a lot more on top of things that I give her credit for.

I appreciate the kind words..

I missed tracking stuff, so I ordered a new desk chair. It was shipping just 500 miles from NY to VA. Except, not kidding, it got misrouted and sent to France.

Congrats!!! Y'all look so happy to finally have her home.
The whole process has been a "process" I am better for it.
Tomorrow we get to learn how to remove the tops and doors.
