Can you maybe do it over the phone? Or is that on (another) line?
Hmmmm. I’m not sure. It might be that they don’t allow policies from outside of the state, but I will check.

If you look many pages back, we discussed how to automate the automated system so that you don't have to say or dial your rail car info. Phone will do it for you if you type the number in a certain way before dialing. Enjoy the train stalking!
Got that, thank you!

Hey y’all, my wife and I have a house in Boerne, Tx that we have on Airbnb/VRBO and managed by Backroads Reservations. This is our hill country vacation home and we stay here on regular basis. It’s about 15min from Boerne, 30min from Luckenbach (yep, a real place) and 45min from Fredericksburg (wine country). The home is private and sits on 5 fenced ac. Dogs welcome but we do have lots of deer that jump onto the property so that can be tempting for dogs. (No hunting, don’t kill my 🦌) I also have a large garage/workshop that I will open up to any Bronco ppl. Link below, scroll down in the link for more pictures. Found a better pic, my Yukon in my shop!!

Very cool of you. I have fond memories of driving through Fredericksburg on 87 between San Angelo and San Antonio for the weekends back in my Army days.

So, fun fact I learned about the front camera and parking sensors today - it doesn't take much heavy and wet snow to render them inoperable.

So, might want to keep a rag up front for sensor clean off.
It will also deactivate the adaptive cruise control, which uses those sensors too. A real drag.

If you're decently close to another state, it would be very fair to drive across the border, buy the ESP on your phone, then drive home 🤷🏼‍♀️

Unfortunately, I am a good 3 hours from the border. 🙁

I have to imagine there's some level of address verification beyond a person's physical location at the time of purchase. But yeah that's a crappy setup they have there in FL.

I have a different problem in CA (just "one" though…), we don't get that trade-in sales tax waiver and our sales tax isn't cheap. I'm looking at somewhere between $4,300 and $4,400 TTL.

Saturday Morning Update:

Todays take Delivery Day so my next update will be later today once we complete the transaction.
I have my List of Demands ready, My OCD List (thank you @Cat)
My printed list of accessories so I don't forget things.
My Signed buyers agreement
My Cashier's check to pay for it.
I expect this to be an easy experience.

Hah loves reading this Alvin. So excited for your day today. I’m curious did you have trouble sleeping last night?

Sleep? what is that.
I tend to be a tad obsessive, so I have played out every negative scenario possible for today.
I think I have accounted for most negative outcomes and steered things to the positive.
My delivery appointment is at 10AM and it is an hour drive to get there so we have plenty of anxiety time remaining.

I get it. And for better or worse can totally relate. Sounds like you have all your bases covered. Best of luck!

Now the fun part will be who will drive the Bronco back home.
The Wife or Me ?
As a married man of 35 years, I am well aware of the correct answer, but I can still dream. :)

After so many horror stories with dealers and Bronco deliveries in general, I just want to give a shout out Beach Ford in Virginia Beach, VA. We reserved our Bronco through them on July 14, 2020. I had never bought a vehicle from them and placed our reservation there basically due to logistics (closest to the house).

When I placed the original order I was asked, and agreed, to provide an additional deposit of $400.

When it came time to re-order due to the ’21 to ’22 push, I did the order via phone and text with no issues.

My original salesman, Tanner, assured me through the process that Beach Ford didn’t play any “games” and the car would be delivered at MSRP. I never did get any sort of pre-arranged purchase agreement other than the DORA which had no signatures on it except for mine stating that the order was to my liking. Yes, this made me a bit nervous, but I had Tanners assurance and a small trail of texts and e-mails so I wasn’t too concerned.

Tanner always immediately responded to any texts I sent him.

Between the time our Bronco was built and delivery Tanner moved onto a different opportunity. I received a call from Emily telling me that she was taking over Tanners clients and would be helping me through the process. We had the nicest conversation. I asked about pricing, pin-stripes, N2 filled tires, etched windows, etc. She said to me, “Honey, that’s your car, we’re not going to touch it”. I also asked about Price Protection and she said, “Yup, it’s right here in the computer $975”.

I felt so good after speaking with her, it was just incredible.

We “stalked” the delivery of the Bronco via United Road and knew when it was going to arrive at the dealer so we headed over to watch it being unloaded. Had a nice conversation with the driver and slid him a $20 after unloading it, he was all smilies and a super nice guy. He asked me if I wanted to drive it off, jokingly of course.

It was about 7PM and Emily said, “You know I can’t sell this to you tonight right”? That made me laugh.

The next day they prepped the Bronco, Emily sent me an itemized invoice (that was within a few bucks of what I calculated the cost should be), I stopped by the bank on the way to the dealer and picked up a cashiers check. Was at the dealer for a very short period of time. They offered the usual undercoating, paint protection, warranties, etc. I politely declined and we moved on. Signed a few forms and was out the door.

Everyone at Beach Ford was was truly amazing, no BS, you ordered a car, it’s here, let’s get you in it.

They exceeded my expectations in every way and I am truly grateful for that. There is just so much negativity towards dealers, with good reason based on some stories here, but I just wanted to put it out there that there are good ones and Beach Ford is one of them.

What an awesome report.
This is the positivity I need in my life right now.
Hopefully my report will be equally as great.

Beautiful Bronco

It will be 35 years in April for us, but at this point, I round up :)
We usually go to Myrtle Beach for our Anniversary, but the last couple of times it has been too cold there in April, so now we go further south, like the Tropics :)

Congratulations.
