The Ford Accessory page has a remote start remote and module called Ford Perimeter Plus Vehicle Security System.

Think it would work with our Bronco manual transmissions?

Yes I know it's not safe, but I can park at home and at work not in gear, so I have been toying with the idea.

Back when wiring things in cars was simple I bypassed this in my '02 Mazda, I just never ever parked in gear and loved having a remote start on a manual!

Just be sure to change your parking habits if you do this; I watched my buddy park in gear one day and forget, then hit the remote start and slam into our friend's garage, that was a pricey fix for a quick mistake!

He's just jealous @ChompSticks.

We should be able to use the parking brake circuit as another safety, and there must be some kind of sensors that know what gear it's in since it displays on the cluster, so there might be something there.

I'd only be using it in the winter with the doors on anyway.

Same it’s for winter use for me as well. But it does require going to the dealer. Wonder if forscan could activate it.
  • When activated by your Ford Dealer, the Basic Remote Start System is also included; start your vehicle from up to 300’ away
