Had a pretty bad foggy drive home a few weeks ago and missed the for lights on my old car. After some research on here I ordered some low cost flush mount pods from Amazon. Yes, I know they are not as good as some others but they fit my needs.

The plastic insert in the bumper pops out in 1 second with no tos required. The structure of the bumper has the hole already cut to accept a light. The hardest part was running the wiring clean and making sure everything was in heat shrink, wire loom, and tied out of the way while still looking factory.

Electric is hooked up thru auxbeam 6 gang.

I was impressed with the light output and contrast on the road.

Not a bad idea if you want to save some cash. Another option is to go with the Baja Designs S1 pods. We had a customer (I think he's on here somewhere) order up some of the Baja Designs S1 pods and he mounted them in the fog area on his base bronco, same place as you:

I had considered those, however, I wanted a housing that filled up the full opening in the bumper. That plus the S1 lights are more than double the price. I'm sure the smaller Baja S1 puts out a better light.

Hey 4x4.....I've been posting on a couple of threads but I'm looking for a solution to add some ambers to my CAPABLE bumper (I take delivery in a week or so)......Do you think something would fit nicely in the pocket BESIDE the factory fogs...or, a nice replacement of the OEM fogs that can utilize the factory switch.

We sell fog kits here:

Towards the bottom of the page are kits from Diode Dynamics and Baja Designs to replace your factory fogs

awesome thanks, I'll have a look..

Anything as far as adding some beside the factory fogs in that empty space?
Whatever you can dream up... we don't have anything "bolt on" since it's not a bolt on application if you plan to add additional lighting.

Ok cool. I saw the product for the replacement on the plastic bumper (the "standard' bumper), mine is the capable Steele....is this product you are referring to?

The capable steel bumper isn't really out there in the wild yet. So you have to be patient to see if these aftermarket products fit. There is no reason they should not as it's the same thing as the plastic, only made of stronger material.

How is the fog light alignment with flush mount pods installed in the bumper covers? At 25 feet where is the cutoff in relation to the center of the light? I would do this today if I knew that the alignment would be OK without having to find or rig up some kind of shim to change the angle of it.

I have not had a chance to do a proper alignment check on it yet. The weather here has been quite cold and nasty out. I expect it to be slightly high and need to shim
