Thnx, @Jazer. My WT is with a LUX pkg.On mobile it should have an extra box/option that’s not available on the normal computer browser that says make an account or sign up. The system and process is a little wonky.
I was going to order the door sill plates, but they weren’t available as an option to add on in the build system for 22 so I told my dealer just to wait (vs worrying about finding it via parts and ordering it)… I just bought the clear/Rock Guard Stickerfab PPF stickers for it. Much cheaper. Doesnt look as fancy but covers a bit mor of the door sill especially rear doors (where my kids will be climbing all over getting in and out), lol.
I ordered these too and have them waiting to go on! I know they had a TSB put out where they “fixed” the rubbing Spots by putting some soft touch material, like little felt things or something but IMO you cant have too much protection in a high rub area. I think this is a must for soft tops.
Mine is a high package, selectable 4x4 OBX And mine moved out pretty quick. Built to shipped in <48 hours. Are all of you lux or mixed? Maybe 4A parts? Im not sure this is related unless these trims have something in common that is in short supply.
AFAIK they are not stuck in “QC”. My understanding is there are a few various items that become short supply (this changes probably daily) and the vehicles on the line that come to get those products installed, if they aren’t available basically get built without them and set aside to wait for said parts unless its a part that they can’t progress past and then this will cause line slow downs. They keep the line moving if they can, and those vehicles pulled get those parts installed whenever they get the opportunity to go install them. There are also times where the vehicles are built then a certain lot of products has to be rechecked because there could have been a vendor issue or just verification. This also doesnt happen right away as they have to designate manpower/time to go find them and check those parts. This could be considered a QC purgatory I suppose.
I know it sucks but at the end of the day they Want those vehicles going out perfect, and are definitely making sure each one thats leaves IS perfect.
I don’t work there so take what I say with a grain of salt but this is pretty standard production process as it is, and these are vehicles so have extra high standards to be met.
Dont worry your babies will come soon!
