I averaged around 45-50mpg in my Rubicon 4xe with a 62 mile daily commute. I was able to charge for free at work so that made it very cheap to commute. And it was a lot faster than my 2.3L Bronco

Might be a good option for anyone concerned about mpg. Seems like gas prices will continue to climb or stay high for a while.

I’m a contractor. This Bronco is gonna seem like a smart car compared to my work trucks. I don’t think Iā€˜ve ever had a vehicle in my life that got 20mpg or better.

I was very enthused and excited about the idea of buying a 2drBronco Badlands, v6. I haven't had a new vehicle since the 93 Toyota which I recently sold for $250 less than what I bought it for..... but my excitement has died down over time...what is killing it for me are a few issues I just can't get arround.......18mph and 20 hwy mpg for the V6..REALLY that's abysmal!!!! a manual tranny would help. Get the MPG up to 24-26 hwy might change my mind,,,but 20 mpg is terrible. Then for me there is this complete push by the US government to go to EV's, what's gonna happen to gas prices??? Is the Government gonna cause gas prices to go up to push... Ev's on the population as a whole...I have a feeling they will. So buying a gas guzzling vehicle which has a power train which is being phased out just doesn't seem like a smart way to drop $50K on a vehicle....I just can't do it....If for some reason I change my mind it will still be there for me to buy, but since I own vehicles for a long time, I just can't see dropping $50K on something which is trying to be phased out......
I have to say, stick with the Bronco. Find an MSRP dealer and make an order. I really can't see driving anything else after driving the Bronco. I'm 62 and have had a lot of cars, it really is superior.

Mine the same, running premium? That's what did it for me. Also, nice to get the extram 25 horses for cheap.
Running premium makes that big of a difference? What’s the compression ratio? Must be pretty high.

It'll be 5-10 years before EVs are really mainstream with the infrastructure in place to support them. I wouldn't worry about ICEs becoming obsolete for at least 20+ years. This will be a long process. Regarding gas, basic economics says lower demand with existing supply will actually decrease prices, but OPEC and other oil producing countries have a way of manipulating the markets to keep fuel prices high. Taxes? Maybe higher, but honestly, if the money is plowed back into improving our roads and bridges I'm OK with paying a bit more.

.....18mpg and 20 hwy mpg
While agree the Bronco is posting underwhelming gas mileage by a few mpg compared to the competition, it’s better than my JKUR 3.8. Also, I am not sure how a two door vehicle with aluminum body parts and some kind of high strength lightweight frame comes in 220 lbs heavier than an older four door all steel vehicle, but Ford has managed it.

If the mileage is an issue perhaps a 2.3 would be a better choice. Otherwise, you may want to look for a different type of vehicle than a heavy duty off road capable vehicle.

Finally, real world usage results of the Lightning is going to teach us a lot about how well an all electric can do in heavy load power draining scenarios like towing and off road.

I have reservations for both a Bronco and a Cybertruck.

We'll see which delivers first

I think the reason posts like this exist is the influx of new bronco buyers because its the new cool rig vs old school bronco lovers that don't care about mileage ,cupholders,or rough ride.

I am driving a 06 Tacoma that doesn’t get any better mpg then my 04 f150 maybe 15 mpg and my wife’s 2019 tundra is lucky to get 13 mpg. If I can get 18 or so in a bronco that would be great. Oh and my 72’ bronco 170 straight 6 gets about 9 mpg.

I concur! I'm 52 and have had and still own a wide collection of cars and trucks and by far the Bronco is the most fun to drive. Totally worth the wait. I was able to find a 2dr manikin Bronco while I wait for my order.

It does indeed. I tested it out on a drive from Nashville to California. Premium not only wakes the engine up to 300HP from 275, but I measured 4 to 5 additional MPG repeatedly. over nearly 4000 miles. I am an OCD cheapskate, so if I tell you that I will never run anything but premium gas, it should mean something. Not to mention the added swoosh factor!

This is a great thread being what some are not even thinking about is how the odds are the Bronco will go ElectricšŸ˜‚. I mean come on Ford is already building Electric vehicles so its a no brainer the Bronco will be a Electric vehicle sooner than later. Hell Ford offers a Electric Crate motor for any EV lovers out there🄸
The most impressive thing about this post is that on a phone browser the word ā€œelectricā€ lines up perfectly for 4 rows. Well done
