2-door MIC: removable panels over front seats only
2-door modular: removable panels over front seats plus small removable panel over back seats

4-door MIC: removable panels over front and back seats?
4-door modular: removable panels over front and back seats; removable quarter windows?

The material being used for the MIC top is highly resistant to UV light and weathering.

Wondering if this is the same material used for the fender flares, bumpers, grille, and body trim?

I think they came up with this carbonized gray top, to compliment the Carbonized Gray grill color on the upper models... but it would look like crap, with most of the paint colors.

Top ACTUAL color will totally drive my body color selection. Maybe I'll get over the fact that it looks like shit next to the black mirrors, bumpers, door handles, and Black Diamond grill.

Or....maybe I'll just be too distracted by the 2-door split-level cargo area to even notice.

That looks closer to the top on the cactus grey 4-door I saw. Not discounting anyone’s opinion on this, both of them looked incredible.

I mean, the top and fenders appear to be the same color IMO and it looks good. As long as the trim doesn’t clash I am fine with grey

Not sure of his definition of "many is" but the material for the MIC top was just changed a few months ago.

I don't know which thread that would be, I'm just responding to the claim made by somebody.

Unfortunately, we just had 40 pages of that on Sunday. I'd like to trace sources and go with what I can link, show, or quote.

I'd prefer the MIC top in black, with the removable panel. But that's not what they're offering.

If I hate the gray, I'll probably spray a layer of PlastiDip on it. That way I can even change it pretty easily to try out white, if I feel so inclined. The stuff is pretty durable, easy to fix scratches, and then it peels off pretty easily in a nice sheet. As a bonus, It'll likely protect the color of the plastic as well.

I don't want a glossy or body painted top.

I'm already planning to do something about the chrome BRONCO on the grille. Either PlastDip or something. I really hate chrome.

You can also get removable side windows on the 2dr painted top.

I'd agree, but the black is a high gloss shadow black.

I want black molded in color, not painted black.

Totally agree that the "carbonized grey" top doesn't even match the carbonized grey paint. Perhaps they should just call it faded black? I want a MIC black as I think that it looks a lot better than the grey AND it's lighter, more durable and should be far less expensive than the painted gloss black. Here's to hoping that's one of the things they change since they still have nearly a year before they'll deliver the first units.

It certainly seems that the body color top would be a premium option vs the mic top. Mic doesn't need paint and with every truck getting the same color it's logistically easier than 11 colors to paint

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Is the mic top something like $900 and the painted top $1500? I'm thinking the mic top is a low budget option in the hard top offerings.
