I went to try this fix, so thank you for the great instructions, and found what appears to be the cause of my issue. It looks like my problem is something different and thankfully very easy to fix. The "push pin" that's circled was loose and as a result, the plastic pieced that it should secure...
Even after providing the above SSM to Chapman Ford in Horsham I was told my only option is to buy the parts and hopefully get reimbursed as I'm out of state and they "need" to have the vehicle to comply. I get rules, but there's also customer service, good business and the fact that they did not...
My dual top order did not include the covers for the soft top either. I’m still “working” with my dealer and hoping that they’ll do the right thing. Thank you for posting this information.
I hope that your dealer does the right thing. I've been trying to work with Chapman Ford in Horsham, PA @DealerInsider since May when I changed tops and noticed they didn't include these parts. After a few months of emails they ordered the parts. A few weeks ago when the parts arrived they told...
Yes, you can. Just looks unfinished and smaller items can fall in the open areas. Mine did not come with these either. I reached out to the dealer last night. We’ll see how they respond. It sounds fairly common, so hopefully Ford sends them, as they should, at no cost to me or the dealer.
Haven’t heard much at all in a while about Webasto and what I thought was going to be a second factory. Typical lack of transparency and communication from Ford.
As OP posed a moment ago about sound settings, i haven't checked those or other settings like locks, lights, etc. I just saw that my XM presets were there and my phone / Carplay were working. I'll have to check those later.
No, surprisingly I didn't. that said, I'm not sure if I was supposed to press the start button or something to drain any residual power. I left it off for ~15 minutes.
I just did this and it worked for me. I was able to pull the #20 fuse a month or so ago when it stopped the first time, but that didn't work this time. I kept the negative cable disconnected for 15 minutes. It's easy as there's only one nut to loosen.
I pulled #20 and it worked for a few weeks. It went out again about a week ago and I tried pulling the fuse again, but no luck. I might have to try disconnecting the battery. What did you lose when you disconnected the battery?
Removing fuse #20 worked for me a few weeks ago, but it didn't work when I tried it today? Any thoughts as to why? Do I need to leave it out for a certain period of time, do it while the car is off or only with the electronics on... Any help is appreciated. TIA.
