These tires on the Bronco are 20k mile tires. I've heard that 5k miles in and 1/4 tread already gone. I suspect Ford knew this also 39psi for a c load mt tire has me questioning the choices made.
That's sorta why I mentioned the speed change. Its as if after a 1000 miles, enough tire has worn off that the harmonic wobble moved to a different speed range.

I may take it in for a look at the balancing or a flat spot before the tire wears any further. Haven't heard of anyone mention this, hence asking dirt mtn since i think it's unique to a car not moving for months, on brand new tires, thru seasonal heat to cold cycle. Could be overthinking it though.

Per Goodyear:
The most common cause of flat spots on tires is when your car is left too long in the same place. When your vehicle is parked and unused, the area of tire touching the ground can become rigid. You will feel a ride disturbance or shimmy during the first few miles of driving after your vehicle has been parked for a few days, weeks, or months. Flat spots damage the tires' functionality and can be dangerous because one or more flat-spotted tires can cause a shimmy or harmonic vibration, which makes it difficult to steer your car.

I've only got 100 miles on my Dirt Mountain Bronco currently but I'll be on the lookout for similar signs.

Finally delivered!

Out with the old, in with the new. I didn't get a chance for many pics since it was getting dark and it started snowing before I left the dealership, but here's the new beast next to my 2010 Escape.

20220106_145708.jpg

Drove it home in the first snow of the season. I was cruising along at what felt like 50 on the highway, glanced down at the dash and I was over 70. That 2.7L wants to go.

Thanks to @CO-Bronco for all the work he put in for us here in this thread. I bought you a sixer, bud. And thanks to @Cat for her OCD checklist. I spent a good 2 hours going over everything before I signed a single piece of paper. My wife was laughing at me taking so long, but it was worth the time.

Also, thanks to Ricart Ford. They kept their promise of MSRP and got me the financing numbers I needed.

@RickRicart , your staff (especially Chelsie, Drew, Scott and Bill) were all on the ball. They gave me all the time I needed and helped me with all my questions. Kudos to a great team.
Congratulations!!!!! I just got my window sticker today!! Happy to help!

Yikes. So for anyone who lives where rust is a thing, you will want to watch this video. I have taken my Wildtrack to a very high end restoration shop to see about rust treatment suggestions after noticing significant rust with less than 300 miles on the odometer. I'm pretty confident that you'll be impressed with this video - not so impressed with what Ford has done to keep Broncos from rusting.

Looks pretty normal from Ford to me. There's F-150s they didn't even bother to paint the diffs on. It's not going to hurt anything for decades, but they're rusty off the lot.

@Kingsingh15, @38shoptruck & @Tricky Dick still nothing eh fellas?

Super bummed out.
Nothing new here. I’ve been home sick for the last two days. Tonight a buddy text me and said there was a white 4 door that was delivered to my dealer. I knew it wasn’t going to be mine, but you bet your ass I had to go check, even as bad as I felt. Spoiler alert……it wasn’t mine.

Keep in mind you are talking to someone who’s 4Runner with only 140k miles was just hauled away for parts because the frame was so rotted that the trailing arm broke off the frame and could not be fixed.

I am originally from the north, salt sucks. I had an old F350 that was actually in good shape, but after being 18 years old and almost falling through the bed while standing, it was time. The strap area for the gas tank to the bed completely rusted out causing the bed support to go weak also took out my rear brake lines while towing, blew them apart almost wrecked. One of the first things I am going to do is try to see if I can get the dealer to do a rust protection coating ASAP as Ford cuts corners these days with protecting anything.

That's because Dana cheated. They were to coat frames 2x, only did 1x. I had my 03 Taco condemned, and then my 08 Tundra got recalled, taken apart, and recoated.
