Well if it makes you feel any better, this was the update I got yesterday on the airbag...

SUPPLIER PAST DUE SHIPPING TO FCSD , WORKING WITH SUPPLIER TO OBTAIN FUTURE SHIP PLAN.

Sounds promising right? I'm now very confident you'll see yours before I see an airbag.

Hope that helps:)

Dealer finally responded to my email and said his system says awaiting shipping. I thanked him for that then started the airbag and satisfaction funds conversation.
Weeee everything about this buying experience is so fun! Salesman was unaware of the satisfaction program. Sent him the letter.

I have mine at AlfaCars (in MA) getting the hard wax based rust proofing. They said that with only 200 miles on it they were very surprised how much rust already exists on hardware, drive shaft, steering assembly etc., that should be sanded, treated, and coated. They also said there are a lot of gaps in the wheel wells that should be sealed off or they will remain very vulnerable. They will be sending me pics today - this should be good.

My sales woman won’t even message me back for days lol
Basically the level of service I get. A minimum of 24hrs for a reply, sometimes 3-4 days.

Speaking of that (and sorry to you guys still waiting) I have a nice side to side shimmy going on at 72-73mph. I've put 1000 miles on in the last 20 days and the shimmy is less noticable but now seems to hit around 75-76 mph. Everyone talks about how smooth it handles on the highway.

As I'm not trying to cause a scene so I'm looking to the DM crew for insight as to whether you think my tires could have a flat spot or am I just hitting some harmonic.

I was surprised that I only had about 15 miles on the car when I picked it up. Clearly Ford took great care of it while it sat on dirt mountain.

Not a mechanic here, do note! But nearly always tire-related...maybe threw a weight?

Finally delivered!

Out with the old, in with the new. I didn't get a chance for many pics since it was getting dark and it started snowing before I left the dealership, but here's the new beast next to my 2010 Escape.

Ford Bronco *** DIRT MOUNTAIN Broncos - Built, Shipped, Delivered Tracker*** 20220106_145708

Drove it home in the first snow of the season. I was cruising along at what felt like 50 on the highway, glanced down at the dash and I was over 70. That 2.7L wants to go.

Thanks to @CO-Bronco for all the work he put in for us here in this thread. I bought you a sixer, bud. And thanks to @Cat for her OCD checklist. I spent a good 2 hours going over everything before I signed a single piece of paper. My wife was laughing at me taking so long, but it was worth the time.

Also, thanks to Ricart Ford. They kept their promise of MSRP and got me the financing numbers I needed.

@RickRicart , your staff (especially Chelsie, Drew, Scott and Bill) were all on the ball. They gave me all the time I needed and helped me with all my questions. Kudos to a great team.

These tires on the Bronco are 20k mile tires. I've heard that 5k miles in and 1/4 tread already gone. I suspect Ford knew this also 39psi for a c load mt tire has me questioning the choices made.
