Random question, can you run the front 2 MIC top panels (in my case it will be a 2 door) with out the rear MIC top installed?

That’s a great Question! I hadn’t considered that, if it’s not possible I wonder if an adapter can be made to allow this?

@JcrOffroad might be able to work something up

Curious as well, Id like to run just the doors and front panels and remove the back half during the summer. My wife is irish/russian and has absolutely no melanin so shade is a must. Keeping the sun off while still getting that open air would be great.

Can somebody with a 2-door answer this? bumping for views

This is also a question I have, look forward to finding out if the front panels can easily latch back on without the back shell.

I don't care if its the middle of winter and 75% of the country is covered in snow, somebody with a 2-door, take off your roof, strap on those panels and blast down the highway at 80mph and let me know if anything goes fucky.

Have you considered a mesh top or does that let too much light in?

On a bronco nation instagram live someone asked that question.

Their answer was that they have done it at low speeds. Highway speeds were not recommended. Also that the top is not specifically designed for that.

I know you are asking about 2 door but I'll add this for others. The four door with the middle piece installed seems to be ok. Not sure im comfortable going on the highway like that or at all. But in videos at king of hammers they had at least one desert running like that.

It will have to do if the panels dont work, but i also like the idea of the hard/waterproof top over my head as all kinds of things happen (wiper fluid, bird poop, etc) on the highway that i don't want on my head. But she might be part vampire as I think even the screen would let too much light in tbh.

It would only be connected at the windshield header as the back attaches to the rear roof sction - no rear roof, no rear attachment of front panels. Certainly would flap in the wind and eventually break the front attachment

Opposite, there iis someone on here who forgot to latch the front and their panel went sailing.

Would a C-clamp/vise grip style clamp be able to hold the back corners onto the frame? I don't have mine yet so i can't get the visual myself.
