Order Confirmed! What Now?

Got my automated confirmation email from Ford today! Which is exciting and also feels much like the first day in a long, arduous journey. I have a few questions, and was hoping you all might help me out.

What is the next step? Waiting? Drinking? Waiting and drinking? Drinking heavily?

My Ford account doesn't list the order. How can I add it? Do I have to wait to receive a VIN? Are bribes acceptable? Must I take and threaten hostages?

We're getting an OBX, 2.3, auto, non-Squatch, Luxe (pure Pavement Princess, this one). Will we receive it before our children graduate college? (We don't have any yet.)

I've really enjoyed this forum, and learned a ton. I thank you all for the insights you've shared.

Your Ford.com account should update automatically... but remember it's a completely separate system. (the order system pushes updates to your online profile)

If it doesn't show up in a day or two, you can contact customer support to make sure your information is linked up. (Different addresses, emails, etc can all attribute to things not linking up.)

Thanks! I've convinced myself it won't be here before Christmas. My wife isn't sure she'll make it that long, what with me showing her posts from this forum over every meal.

It will only show up on your Ford account soon if you used a reservation, made long, long ago. If it’s a mere dealer order, you will have to wait for an email with a VIN number, which you can then attach in your Ford account. I put my order in on Nov 2, 2021 through my dealer as a new order, non-reservation and have not received a VIN yet, though I got my order email from Ford just 2 days later. Prepare for a long wait, dependent on the specifics of your order. Especially if you ordered a hard top. Once you do get the VIN email, it means Ford has all the parts for your build assigned to it, and the process starts rolling faster. You will get updated with a build date, but that is usually pushed back again and again. Finally a delivery email. Then start checking delivery sites found here at Bronco6G and but your dealer.

As you can see below I'm an early reservation holder but still waiting for a production date probable driven by MIC top & tow - hopefully soon. So as long as you don't have a MIC/tow you may do better then you think.

We're in New England. The MIC was a must. So...yeah. It'll be a while.

I didn't know the tow package was a commodity issue, too.

The tow package has also been mention as a constraint previously. But really who knowns... I have a basic 4Dr Badlands build other then MIC & tow. My reservation time stamp is with the first 16 hours of the reservations being open and the wait continues

We went with Best Ford in Nashua, NH. Of the twelve I reached out to, they were one of two offering MSRP with a counter-signed PA. We're near Plymouth, and Herb Chambers and Jannell both wanted $5K ADM, and their reps both said, "Every dealer's doing it."

I just got this email when I had an order months ago. Looks like they are re-adding them into my22 now.

I originally ordered at Acton Ford since it's close by. But the Chapman below-invoice deal came along, and I switched my reservation to them. It really seems like my reservation (7/22/20) is still no where on the horizon. I ordered a 2-door Badlands with high package, so I've got some commodity constraints working against me.
