At this point, with so many continued delays and 'day 1' orders still unable to be fulfilled, I would suspect you are realistically looking at a 2025 or 2026 model year. I reserved/ordered in June of 2021 and am looking at the end of 2023 or Q2 2024 (optimistically) right now based on statistics.

Sobering. I'll hope for the best.

Seeing how things are going, I would expect to see the OP here getting a vin within a couple days as an extra thumb in the eye of reservation holders.

In all fairness, my build is effed by Ford Motor Company as being way to difficult to piece together like some other manufacturers have been able to figure out.

I am holding out for a MIC, as I live in Michigan. I also would like the extra torque that the 2.7 has to offer. And gee wiz - I do like to tow on occasion.

Hehehe.

If commodity restraints weren't an issue, how many Broncos can MAP pump out in a week?

Got my automated confirmation email from Ford today! Which is exciting and also feels much like the first day in a long, arduous journey. I have a few questions, and was hoping you all might help me out.

What is the next step? Waiting? Drinking? Waiting and drinking? Drinking heavily?

Jason, drinking heavily while waiting has worked for me. If your wife is expecting it sooner than Christmas I suggest you teach her how to drink heavily also.

My Ford account doesn't list the order. How can I add it? Do I have to wait to receive a VIN? Are bribes acceptable? Must I take and threaten hostages?

As long as you received an email your good to go. I wouldn't suggest hoping for a VIN anytime soon (See above reply). Threatening doesn't help. If it did none of the day one reservationist would still be waiting.

We're getting an OBX, 2.3, auto, non-Squatch, Luxe (pure Pavement Princess, this one). Will we receive it before our children graduate college? (We don't have any yet.)

Ummm, I've ordered an OBX with LUX, and 2.7L. )10/04/20 reservation, last order 11/21) I just dropped the MIC to see if it would expedite my build date. Outside I'm hoping it will, inside I know I'm screwed by the other 2 options that are both on constraint. Did I mention that I drink heavily while waiting. BTW, your kids may be grown and out of the house before you see that VIN.

I've really enjoyed this forum, and learned a ton. I thank you all for the insights you've shared.
Seriously, as it stands with the '22 allocation formula, the size of your dealer, and how many orders are in front of you plays the biggest part in when you may see a build date. Good luck, and if you get your VIN before me I'll congratulate you, and drink heavier. :)

Lots of sarcasm here is a sign of pain, but there's good news for you. My wait of 18 months of waiting to date will most likely be more than the time you wait. The MIC top is your biggest enemy right now. Some have reported the soft top is quieter than MIC, I can't speak for myself. Aside from MIC, your dealers allocation numbers are a big factor. The out of state dealers that offered discounts were great for early res holders in MY21, but it all shifted in MY22 and they may have a longer wait than you. Also, My order thru Bonnell is @ MSRP, I understand Danvers Ford is at MSRP as well. I think it's keen to find a dealer that moves a lot of Bronco Sports and has good overall volume. Good luck!
