I've got a 2023 2 door badlands with sasquatch 2.7 auto with factory tow. My first problem was the spare tire wouldn't allow me to crank the wheel on the camper up without hitting the spare...??? So I did find a 15 inch extended hitch, which worries me a little. I've also seen others have changed their shocks to tow even a small camper. Do you think it's necessary to change shocks first? Then, has anyone else found a solution for the interference with the spare on your Bronco with the wheel crank up on the camper? Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions...Amos

Honestly, I just take my spare off for towing.
Takes 80 pounds off the back end anyway, and it's just 3 lugs.

@Onestepmore please share a photo of the trailer tongue, including the crank jack, etc. I’ve done a lot of towing. Maybe we can help you brainstorm for the best solution.

You might be able to move the jack on the trailer for more clearance as well.

You'll be fine without upgrading anything. Try a drop hitch instead of an extension.
Thanks for the thoughts...I will try one...the biggest problem is the distance from the spare to the pop up wheel crank...I'm going to see about putting the crank on the back side of the post.

I will get a picture...my first thought was to see if I can put the wheel crank on the back of the post instead of the front where it is now...I'll get a picture thought. Thanks for the quick reply!!!

I changed the fixed jack on my teardrop trailer for a fold away jack with side mount crank, works way better and allows me to open gate a bit more.

This, or take the spare off and throw it in the trailer for the time being.
Good thought...I told my wife we don't need a the spare and she was apprehensive...We are not going off road and the 35's are new...thanks for the thoughts...Amos

Well if you are towing the trailer it's still right there. And if you aren't towing it, you could put it back on if you wanted to. This is what I did until I got my drop hitch.

Although I since upgraded my tire carrier, and now I don't even need the drop hitch for the spare any longer, although it lines the trailer up fairly level so I don't think I'll get rid of it.

Anything you can do to avoid using an extension with a trailer would be a good idea.

8" extension worked great on mine.
