Anyone else with a Manual LUX? (I know there has to be at least 7 of us.)

I can't tell if the charging tub isn't staying connected because the Iphone 13 has camera lenses that stick out preventing full contact to the charging surface, or if the charger is just not working.

I don't know what the wireless charger looks like on the automatic, but maybe its also an issue with Iphones on that too...

Anyone savvy hardwired a maglock charger in the factory chargers place?

It's too bad because the bluetooth CarPlay has been awesome.

Although I have an automatic I can say for certain that Wireless Charging does not work on my phone due to the style of phone case I have. This is because my case disrupts the magnetic field that the wireless charging creates.

I don't think the camera on the phone would cause too much of a gap to prevent the magnetic field from "surrounding" the phone.

I’m in a somewhat different situation- I don’t have Lux, but did add the Mabett charger, and it works…. But. The tolerances of these things are pretty fussy. I have a phone bumper, not a case, and that is enough gap to prevent charging. I can take the bumper off and all is golden, so it’s pretty understandable. It wouldn’t surprise if the OEM version was the same kind of deal. It might have been a good idea to put a magnet in them to help- maybe. Cheers!

I searched the manual and settings and couldn’t find any setting to turn it on/off. However - this did solve my problem so thanks for pointing me that direction.

For future searchers: here’s how…

Turns out it wasn’t really a problem at all. Normally, any time I plug my iPhone in to a cable to charge - or if I set it on my wireless charge pad at home - the screen briefly turns on and shows the lightening bolt indicating that it is charging. For some weird reason, it doesn’t do that on the Bronco wireless charge pad. So I just assumed it wasn’t working.

But reading the manual taught me that anytime you are charging on the wireless pad the Bronco will display a battery with a lightening bolt along the top of the dash touch screen. So I tried it again and sure enough, this indicator displays/hides as I set my iPhone on/off the charger.

To double check it was working - I set it on the charger and then looked at my iPhone status bar and it does indeed show the charge indicator.

So it was working all along. Just odd that the iPhone behaves different for THIS charger than it does for every other charger I’ve ever used.

EDIT: Thinking more about it, I suspect it is because I am using wireless Carplay. My theory is that Carplay being active is why the iPhone charge indication behaves different than when I’m charging at home or in the office.
