I was just browsing and ran into this. Anyone try this thing yet?

I'm not a material scientist so I dont know squat about PET material. Would thus actually help prevent cracks?

I had a shop apply Rayno Crystalshield protection film, based off information gathered here on the forum. It’s only been a month. Working good so far.

I have the Stek DynoTop film applied to my windshield.

Link

The place where I work installs PPF and I was one of a few to be a guinea pig for the windshield film in order to decide if we want to offer it. Contrary to what it says on the website, I have not noticed any distortion or texture. It's also infused with ceramic, so it repels water pretty well. Like RainX.

The same company that made the PPF that's applied to the rest of my Bronco (STEK DynoShield). It's been about three months and so far, so good, however I don't think I've taken a direct hit to the windshield yet.

The PPF was applied in January, a week after I took delivery and that has held up really well.

I call bullshit on the 30 min install. Most of these front glass protection products require professional install or hours to get situated.

I'm up for any product that saves your windshield but not sure if it's with $160 - $170?

I was also looking at these. Looks pretty sturdy enough to protect from road chip and debris but the price is quite hefty and you really need to know how to install it where you don’t trap any bugs, dirt or grime before even beginning. In addition you don’t want bubbles. That would be a major hinderance and if you would ever need to replace the film. But I’d like to know who gets one. Etsy sells it and you can get 5% off.
