Okay - I put my 2 door window down at a drive through. It make a sound like breaking ice or glass and would not move. So it was stuck open in 15 degrees. Dropped it off at the dealership where they said hey probably a week before we can get the part.. ok..
They ordered the part - full window, rope lift, and motor - and it arrived but it was too small. It was for a 4 door.

Here is the frustration. There is only 1 part number so they don’t know how to get a 2 door replacement mechanism. There are 2 parts out there both using the same number so everyone i have tried to speak to is at a loss for how to resolve this. No one from QA gets back to the Ford customer service rep, nor the parts guy at the dealership. They just keep saying we are waiting for an answer - but no one gets back to us. 2 weeks now and no eta. No resolution.

Anyone have any suggestions On who to reach out to? There must be someone that knows how to resolve this. There is a manufacturer somewhere that could ship one - no? I have suggested this but all i get is head scratches. Thanks in advance.

Bongo it seems like both parts are the same number. Got any tips?
Here's all I got
link for 2 door assembly

https://parts.lakelandford.com/a/Fo...AT-4WD/__9423708/Glass--hardware/ML21705.html

And for comparison numbers here's a link for the 4 door assembly

https://parts.lakelandford.com/a/Fo...23916/Front-door-Glass--hardware/ML21740.html

As you can see the part numbers between the two are quite different.
I think this is what you're asking.
Sometimes my interpretations of what is being questioned end up way off mark...use your best judgement

I agree with Bongo. There are subtle differences in the part numbers for the 2 door glass and 2 door regulator (look carefully at the full number..not just the last few digits) versus the same 4 door parts. The motors for the 2 door and the 4 door appear to be the same, which would make sense.

And, if still can't figure it out, I suspect the parts that need replacing are labelled with the exact parts numbers. Have your dealer pull the parts from your door and get the numbers off of them.

It may be that the box had the right number but the part inside was incorrect. Will find out this am when they open. Thanks

Had this happen with a grille. Box had correct number but they packaged it incorrectly. Doesn't happen very often but it does happen.
