Why go 2-door unless you have to?

So, lots of talk here about pricing and options and all that stuff.

Fundamental question here - why go 2-door unless you have to? I’m a family man and we can have lots of cars because we live in a sprawling city on a large lot that I own.

if I had no kids, if I could get my own toy instead of having to share with my wife, there’s no way I’d get a 2-door. I’d be 4-door, all the way. I just think it looks tons cooler, it’s apparently more stable on the trail, and it just screams “this is my dude vehicle, with just enough room for a camping trip with my girl and my dog. We can go wherever we want and take gear for any outdoor activity.”

Then I’d crank up some classic metal and tear ass out of there at 80 mph, with tube doors, no roof and the envy of all who can see.

I'd rather have a 2 door, but with seating only for 4, I have to go 4 door.

The two-door is the original Bronco. The 4-doors look like grocery-getters; which I already have - it's an expedition.

Still getting a four door. The two door doesn’t even have AC vents on the floor in back. Always nice to have that for your back seat passengers in the middle of the Summer in the south where it feels like you live on the surface of the Sun.

Other factors for getting the four door:
-More cargo room
-Bigger gas tank
-Pull put tray
-Soft top
-On board door storage
-Ability to sleep in it
-Easier for back seaters to get in and out of

I find it amazing that 4 door people actually like other people enough to have them in their vehicles. The older I get and the more I'm around other people I realize how much more I like dogs.

Hmmm...the two door though is cheaper, more badass looking, able to get sound deadening along with roof rack, only have to deal with taking off and putting back on two doors instead of four, quicker acceleration and braking possibly, and would be easier to maneuver on trails.

Well, if we’re comparing sports cars to SUV’s for whatever odd reason...

Such an original thought. I often wonder if people who repeat this statement (and "mall crawler" on the jeep side) would have ever come to that label on their own if the internet didn't exist.

If and when i ever get my bronco 2dr and im at a light and a 4df pulls up next to me i wont be thinking that thing is goofy i will just think they must have had different needs /wants thats cool and give them the secret bronco wave.?

No idea if we can pull it off. If we can we will definitely be thinking about a side hustle. If it comes to fruition I'll post it here. If my Bronco shows up this summer it wont be until August 2022

I would also be interested in what you come up with. With the 2dr I will likely be looking for storage alternatives for some weekendlander trips. Keep us posted!
