My pipe dream for the day:

I called Ford CS, they said zone manager would be the only one who may be able to convince Ford to release my purgatory Bronco. I reached out to my dealers inventory manager and asked if she could look into it. She said she will be getting me answers. I'm hoping because it is cosmetic they can pressure Ford into releasing my Bronco. I'll keep you all posted. Of course, this is a pipe dream. Likely they wont do it. @flip any idea on how possible this is?

And how will they find it anyway?
Ford said they were going to go in order of VIN for replacements, I imagine they have some way of keeping track at MAP. Otherwise not sure.

Very, very slim IMO.

Per the correspondence from Ford, builds between January 8 and July 21 are affected.

I have a blend date of July 23rd. Does that mean I may have a new top or am I in purgatory also?

If they ship them they incur a lot more cost and risk because they will then have to ship the tops to dealers and rely on dealers/mechanics to do the glass swap etc.

Risk of shipping damage, mechanic error, etc. is much greater.

As annoying as it is I can understand why they are delaying shipping the "bad batch"
So Ford saves money while my truck sits outside three months with the rotors pitting and the paint getting rain spots that will cost me to get buffed out? Yeah, makes perfect sense to me

I’m a July 22, so that date jumped out at me as well. I think what it’s saying, however, is they shipped MICs out up until July 21, and stopped shipping them from the factory on July 22. July 22nd and later are stuck at MAP, up to July 21, yours may have shipped and fell through QC cracks.

I thought that too, really it is sort of a last ditch effort to get it out and enjoyed for at least part of the summer.
Thanks!

Doesn't have to make sense to you, it has to make sense to Ford, after all it's not really your truck yet.

I dream of one day becoming Assistant to the Zone Manager. It is a glorious and distinct position, marked by a delineated focus on Bears, Beets and battle star Galactica
