Oh yeah, I've calmed down haha. Stepped away from the computer today, poured myself some bourbon and threw on some Coltrane. All good now.

Sounds like 6000 Broncos are in Quarantine

... about 6k units are on hold for the supplier quality issue we all have been keenly aware of for some time now. Let me dispel some roomers/concerns I keep seeing as I've gone through 15 pages today.

1)No Ford is not going to scrap the units, I have seen hundreds of cars get ripped apart to replace the body harness and then get put back together before. Replacing a roof because of delamination is nothing.
2)Most likely MAP will bring in the high seniority and product specialist from the off shift and run the vehicles through the mod center for a campaign like this. Trying to fit vehicles back into the line would be a mess and not needed for this.
3)There is not a chip shortage on bronco
4)You cant take parts allocated for the line and shift them to the vehicle that are on hold. That would shut the line down and they have 100,000 of these thing to build. Im sure the roofs are a JIT part so I'm going to guess that if Webasto was up this week when MAP was down then they were probably making tops for the stop ship trucks. Then next week would go back to supplying the line...

the alien got a lot of push back for that...but subsequent photos may lend credence.

the drummer says better tops are a-coming.

the debate has raged about whether the MIC is a design or production supervision failure. If all they had to do was tweak a few dials on the production equipment, Ford/Webasto begins to look like an unsupervised day-care center

someone else said they knew the MIC scrap-rate to be ~50%....we could be in for an interminable wait.

meanwhile...over in jeep-land, they keep pumping out Wranglers by the trainload...

This is my suspicion as well.

It would be one thing if all current and new MIC inventory went to our Quarantined builds first, but we all know that the line is ramping UP and not down.

With such a high scrap rate, I can see Broncos being added to the Quarantine lot at a higher rate than being removed.

I'm getting used to the fact that I won't see my July 13th built until at least end of August or early September. (And I love 1hr from MAP....)

Well I know this doesnt mean much but my window sticker just changed. It was 07/22 at the bottom, now it's 07/29. So just like everyone else it changes every week. My build date was supposed to be 07/22 and just like everyone I never got the email or anything. Just sitting in limbo

I don't have a horse in the race as my 7/19 build was kicked a month to 8/18. I feel bad for you guys as this has to be such a dirty tease knowing your rig is built but potentially collecting dust while you wait for a QC inspection/new top... whatever it might be. Regardless, with MAP returning on 8/2 and beginning full production I'd expect to see these rigs shipped out next week if not sooner. The tracking system has been less than perfect and there are reports I have seen on Facebook of multiple people having their rigs show up before the anticipated delivery date. Hang in there.

Yea I just noticed that too. Ford is probably reading everyone's post here about their estimated delivery dates and all their theory's and decided to just take it out.

Same here. I think the window sticker just updates the bottom date weekly - nothing else seemed to change.

No updates again. Dealer is off today, so we'll see if it's there tomorrow when he arrives. Nothing on palsapp, tho'....which is NOT run by Ford...so that gives me pause.
