I just completed my order this weekend and noticed it has a priority code 99.

Curious would Ford set that priority code or is that something the dealer must have set? If it is 99 will it automatically be set to a regular priority code when the open the 2022 orders?

I asked my sales rep who is pretty new and said: Until Ford actually schedules it will be 99. When they start making the models the number will change.

His answer doesn’t make sense to me.

thanks

Your Dealer sets it. It means “Do Not Build” it wont get scheduled ever until its changed. Talk to your dealer they are very uninformed.

I also put my order in this weekend, and it was set as a 99 priority code by default . Dealer tried to change it but the system wouldn’t let him. Guessing because Ford is so back logged with orders?

I also put in an order for a Badlands on Saturday with my dealer and it's listed as a Priority code 19 for a 2021 model. Originally was told order wouldn't go in til 22's opened up, so at this point not quite sure if the entry is more of a placeholder or what.

How did you find out you had a 99 code?

In addition, it shows 2021 as the model year. I understand I just placed an order and that I have no expectations of getting delivery in 2021. However, with the code of 99, I wonder if it will ever get built. As from what I have read on these forums that someone has specifically changed the priority code from 99 otherwise it will never get built. I could be wrong on that.

I’m also 99 and I’m wondering the same. No word from my dealer on this. They currently have 40 orders, mostly two doors. So if my order stands out to Ford for picking at some point, then it still won’t be built till the 99 is lifted? So what’s the point if I don’t even have a chance to be built the next two years.

I put my reservation in last week (8/3) and made several changes during the week until I finally decided on the build. My dealer sent me the Order Summary Build, and on the sheet the Priority Code set to "19". The Model Year is set to 2021, knowing full well I probably end up with a 2022.

You will likely be part of the 2022 orders that begin mid-september at your dealer, Ford said since the Spring that many orders will be delayed to next year. A number of 6g members 99'd their orders in order to get additional options in the '22 model year, and wait for start-up quality issues to be resolved (e.g., roofs). Recent reports here are that chips are also becoming a Bronco problem! So to be fair, no one seems to know the full story. Commodity issues continue to suprise.

Know what the latest shortage I've found? Rustoleum spray paint! Our Home Depot is out of more than half of the colors!

I didn't ask my dealer to set a priority code of 99. Will the priority code automatically change once the 2022 order bank opens or does the dealer need to do something?

Obviously, dealers can't convert orders fully at this moment because of all the constraints happening right now with tops, parts, and now computer chips.
Recently converted orders will be 99 until ford sorts thru this mess.

Your dealer is wrong and will screw you over if THEY DON'T CHANGE IT at some point. For you to even be considered for production, you must be priority 10-19. Even if you want a MY22, a priority 99 will not get considered until it is changed by the dealer. If you want a MY21 and think you have a shot, ask your dealer to change it immediately. Once you are "previewing" for build, Ford will change it to priority 1, letting your dealer know that you should have been assigned a build week, followed more closely with an actual build date.

The Dealer's Ford Rep is the only one that change it from and to a "99" code.

I also put in an order for a Badlands on Saturday with my dealer and it's listed as a Priority code 19 for a 2021 model. Originally was told order wouldn't go in til 22's opened up, so at this point not quite sure if the entry is more of a placeholder or what.

I put in an order for an OBX 2.3 at my dealer about a month ago, and my priority code is also 19. They told me that it should be delivered in October/November at the latest. Kinda hesitant about that estimate
