The confusion was exactly Ford's intention.

They are trying to cash in on their brand equity. And I can kinda understand why. Slap a Bronco Sport (BS) logo on an escape and raise the starting MSRP by $2000.

See the Edge and Explorer ST: they were essentially the same as the outgoing sport models, but Ford realized they could slap a Ford Performance badge on it and charge $3,000 more.

Same with the Mach-E, it's much easier to put a running horse on it than try to build up the marketing for an (what I understand to be an actually pretty good) electric crossover.

Exactly, It's all marketing. I really believe the timing was setup this way. Probably delayed the full size bronco launch too. Escape has so much competition, they tried to market another angle...

Nothing against the Bronco Mare (Sport)!!! LOL just kidding...

You guys are weird as it is only a vehicle and not some permanent property.

After Texas, I am thinking a nice F-150 with a generator with a bigger tow capacity. It's a little bigger but seems to be nice versus all the negative stuff here.

I've already had a couple friends text me that they have seen a Bronco and it isnt as cool as I said it was going to be. I said yeah...thats the baby Bronco.....Mine will have big tires.

But your friend did see a Bronco. It even says so on the front and back. Albeit a Bronco Sport, a Bronco none the less. It's in the name.
