I also want to put a winch on a base with the mod bumper. I see three issues. 1) 2.7 engine has a trans or turbo cooler in the way(not an issue for the 4 cylinder). 2) federal guidelines say anything in front of the bumper, the vehicle must have L.E.D. headlights. I do not know if the base has LED or halogen headlights. And 3) The computer for the frame crumple points and or airbag sensors must be recalibrated. I would check with Ford first to make sure they will recalibrate a base Bronco for a winch. I have not looked into any solutions yet because I have not received my Bronco. Good luck on your findings and keep us posted.

You will need to describe the mount. Ford, JCR, RC, etc. The actual winch doesn't matter much, since nearly all of them have the same mounting holes.

Thanks for the info, sounds great, good luck! I may do the same thing whenever Ford gets around to building my rig. Can't wait!
