For those interested, I just found out today that the reason I haven't seen the dupli-color paint to match Velocity Blue in any of the auto parts stores. The reason is that it is a tri stage paint, which sucks for future paint work. It has a colored base, a second coat of a tinted clear, then the final clear on top. Just makes doing paint work a bigger pain when repairing or matching pieces, etc...
I went to my local paint pros that mix anything and can make aerosols, etc... he said it would be about $50 just for the materials and then about the same to mix it up and get the base and mid coat mixed up. Just buying a touch up pen at the auto parts store is $16 now. I'm amazed at the increase in prices over the nearly 30 years driving. I remember batteries being $50 not that long ago, and paint touch up pens for $5 at Walmart.
so if you've been looking for a match to Velocity Blue E7, you have to look online for a kit, or hit your local paint supply shop.
